Isafish Spinning Rod IM7 Carbon Fiber High Density Bass Fishing Rods 7ft, Medium Power, Two-Piece

This rod is missing a very important piece. The aluminum nut will not properly lock it down, and the base of the reel is wider than the rod itself and does not properly hold the reel in place so when you're casting you're constantly having to tighten it because the reel wiggles....which defeats the purpose of having the rod. There should be another piece that allows the reel to fit more securely... for example the one piece behind the reel it fits perfectly and needs another one of those little gadgets that is molded for it to fit into securely and then the aluminum gold nut can tighten down to that. Although, the aluminum gold reel seat nut makes it pretty... it also cuts into the edge of the reel base, which is a bummer because I bought a brand new reel for my son and now it's kind of scratched on the edge. Overall a poor design in that one particular part. I have never seen a rod made this way. I even looked at some of my less expensive rods and they have a better design. The rest of the real seems to be very well made. The one thing I like is the fact that the joint is very well made which keeps the tip from turning when casting. This is why I gave it two stars otherwise it would have probably been one. I am returning this rod.

I purchased this rod in the off season as I needed Something longer for deep sinkers leading into summer. First time using it on a tip a few weeks ago I caught this beauty and had the pole snap. Very disappointed in this purchase. Would not recomend.
