A real CPAP find......
I needed a battery for my CPAP, mainly for any overnight/long haul flights, where there isn't an available power socket (NB: I have not checked with any airline that I can take this on-board as some airlines, such as Virgin, don;t even allow CPAP use without prior consent). The official ResMed battery in the UK is £480 inc VAT, which is a complete rip-off and exploitative, and gives you up to 2 nights back up. I found this product for £315 (saving of £165), and checked out the company web-site to make sure it's not some fly by night. It's a Norwegian company that seem to supply industrial power solutions. So I decided to buy one. It has a handle and is relatively easy to carry, but note it is quite heavy at 4lb for it's size. It also appeals as can be used to power laptops/phones and not just the CPAP. I use a Resmed Airsense 10. Once purchased, they contacted me prior to despatch to check it was compatible with my machine. It came well packaged and with a number of connections. You have to check you have connected to the right voltage. I charged for around 4 hours to get it to 100% on the display (it came part-charged) and used it last night. The down side was that when turning on and selecting voltage it does 'beep' which was annoying as my partner was asleep, so next time I will make sure it is connected before we retire. The upside was that it worked perfectly throughout the night and records 80% of power left this morning ( I hade around 8 hours sleep) so this machine will give up to 5 nights sleep, as opposed to ResMed's 2 nights for more money. So bottom line....can't fault it at the moment and very pleased with purchase. Will update here if anything negative comes out over the next few months but certainly pleased at moment.

Excellent power backup for my ResMed S9 and AutoSense 10
CPAP PowerOak review It took 5 hours to charge from 0% to 100%. 1st night: 8 hours use, dropped to 72% (WITHOUT humidifier) 2nd night: 7 hours use, dropped to 0% (WITH humidifier) If my math is right, I can use PowerOak for roughly 4 nights with 7 hours usage. With humidifier, was just a test, but it was good to see that I can get one night good sleep, but wouldn't start 2nd night, as I am terrified that I would be cut-off from power supply in the middle of the second night. COMPARISON BETWEEN MEDISTROM CO-PILOT 24 & POWEROAK As I own both, I can now compare the two. DESIGN Co-Pilot 24 has a sleek design and looks like majority of power banks, external hard drives and similar. PowerOak is much larger, and with a carry on handle, it is easier to carry around. (Co-Pilot: WON, PowerOak: 0) SIZE Co-Pilot 24 is smaller in design than PowerOak. Even with Co-Pilot 24 Plus, that doubles the power of Co-Pilot 24, is still smaller and thinner than PowerOak. (Co-Pilot: WON, PowerOak: 0) POWER Co-Pilot 24 gives me one and half night of power. With combination of Co-Pilot 24 Plus, I can get 3 nights of roughly 7 hours of usage. PowerOak gives me 4 nights of roughly 7 hours usage. (Co-Pilot: 0, PowerOak: WON) TRAVEL Co-Pilot 24 is allowed as carry-on into the airplane, PowerOak is not. (Co-Pilot: WON, PowerOak: 0) PRICE Co-Pilot 24 = £399 to £639 (plus £7.99 delivery) from Amazon Co-Pilot 24 = £365 (plus £7 delivery) from eBay Co-Pilot 24 Plus = £333 (plus £7 delivery) from eBay PowerOak = £259.99 (£234.99 with £25 voucher) (Co-Pilot: 0, PowerOak: WON) SUMMARY Despite Co-Pilot 24 won in my little test, it is really down to what YOU prefer :-) ... I like to have a choice and freedom, so have bought both of them. Will use my Co-Pilot 24 for my frequent flights, but PowerOak, when I go camping or similar, where I will spend a weekend or a few nights in a middle of nowhere.

It works.
It works as expected. Used it for CPAP 5 nights in a row and battery life from 99% dropped to 36%. Very easy to use. Size is small and portable. Only drawback is that I didn't realise that it does not have UK 3 pin plug socket so that limits the appliances I can connect to it. Good for CPAP power back up and frees me from looking for wall socket when I travel.

Good product, good value
I bought this battery to power my CPAP for camping trips on the motorbike. I certainly wouldn't think it is suitable for back packing as it is quite big and heavy. However where this battery really scores over other CPAP batteries is its capacity. Most batteries for CPAP will last 1 night at most and often cost £500 +. This was excellent value at £240. I use a Resmed Airsense 10 CPAP. If I use the humidifier and heated tubing the battery goes from 100% to 27% in 1 night. Without the accessories it will use only 17% per night making it good for 4-5 nights. I can manage for a couple of summer nights without the humidifier so this battery is a God send. I cannot sleep without my CPAP now and thought my bike rally days were at an end but this will hopefully allow me to continue doing something I love and add immeasurably to my quality of life. In that respect it is priceless!

Well worth it if you are without power for four or five days.
I use this for camping and caravanning where there is no power supply for my ResMed S9. I have used it over four nights running where it ran out part way through the night but alerted by a warning set of Beeps. This was a trial at home, I slept longer than normal if I was camping and was used for 9hr 30min / night for 3 nights and only lasted 5 hrs on the fourth and last night. However these were exceptional long sleeps. Normally when camping time for sleep would be slightly less and you could possibly get four full nights and one part night. I would expect that when using it camping in cold weather the period would be reduced as the cold will reduce the battery's effect unless stored in an insulated bag. It takes just under six hours to recharge fully, and the charge seems to stay as it is when left for a month or so. A check and short boost when next use expected is advisable. . Cost may seem expensive but allows a bit of freedom to get into the wilds. As I am only away two, three or four nights at a time usually, this works for me.
