I owned this same Ultra Grind+ Gold 2 liter table top wet grinder for 3 years back in my country. It was a 220 volt model. It was running without any issues. Since I had to relocate to USA with my family, I had to sell my "work horse" grinder back in my country. So, I ordered a new one (Ultra Grind+ Gold 2 liter table top wet grinder) from Amazon but a 110 volt model, with the seller Gandhi Appliances, on 30th Dec 2016. I received it (free shipping) in 2 calendar days. It came with superb neat packing to my Plano,TX address. The manufacturer carton (box) was covered with bigger brown carton box packing done by this seller. The item I received from Gandhi appliances was manufactured in Aug 2016 (so I was pretty happy) and it was brand new, unopened & sealed pack (with that fresh packing product smell : ) ). It came with stain less steel atta kneader and another white color big wide attachment (I dont have time to check what was that--may be a spare part). Also, the manufacturer (Ultra) has given a packet with few spare parts like small black belt, screws, internal holders (may be for holding the drum) etc., so that (I guess) you don't need to worry about its critical spare parts. Regarding the dosa & idly batter & its taste (prepared from this new grinder), since we have used the same EXACT product in our country for 3 years, I am extremely satisfied with the way the batter comes. We tried preparing this batter with Mixie (Preeti 550 watts 110v model) but it was 1) not sufficient quantity 2) we were missing the exact quantity of urad dal and rice required when we do it with a mixie; so we went with purchasing the Ultra grinder itself. This grinder comes with 1 year full warranty and 5 years warranty for motor. But, trust me, the Ultra brand is good and even after 3 years of usage in our country, there were too many buyers to buy our used grinder for a competitive price. Please go for it. I bought it for $346.40 total ($320 for item, $26.40 for tax & free shipping) on 30th Dec 2016. Thank you.

This is a relatively heavy machine for what it does! It's a stone-based, wet grinder and it does a great job. Along with the Instant pot for precise, controlled fermenting, it is a great combination for idli and dosa batter. Coming on 6 years of use and I am quite happy with the unit. I also would consider this unit to be "quiet" considering the heavy duty grinding it does. My espresso machine is noisier. A sit down at Starbucks is also noisier than this machine. If your meals are (mostly) South Indian, then this is an essential purchase.

I purchased the Ultra Grind+ Gold 2 Liter Wet Grinder with Atta Kneader after reading several positive reviews, and it has lived up to my expectations. As someone who frequently prepares dosa, idli, and other traditional South Indian dishes like vada , this grinder has made the process so much easier and faster. Powerful Motor: The 110V version works perfectly for the US voltage, and the motor is quite powerful, allowing for smooth grinding of rice, lentils, and other ingredients. Build Quality: The machine feels sturdy, and the quality of materials used is top-notch. The drum is made of high-quality stainless steel, and it’s easy to clean. Quiet Operation: Compared to other grinders I’ve used, this one is relatively quiet, making it more pleasant to use, especially early in the morning.

We use ours to make various types of homemade nut butter, most often cashew butter. Needs nothing more added than a bit of salt. The grinder conches (in a similar way to cocoa beans) the nuts so well, no added oil is needed and it never separates. Clean-up is fairly easy, albeit messy with nut butter. We've made 3 batches of nut-butter is a single day, which takes about an hour each. While the motor and the bowl do heat up during extended use such as this, the machine was more than equal to the task. My wife (who is allergic to peanuts - the reason we make our own alternate nut-butters) and I are extremely happy with this machine. It was worth every cent.
