Good quality but a little difficult to turn
Got this to attach a 10', 1-1/4" diameter round aluminum pole to a 4" square fence pole. Needed to mount a weather station on top of the round pole 10' off the ground. Bought a new weather station and wanted to mount it as high as possible. Didn't want to dig a hole, pour concrete, to mount the pole so I decided to use the post on my existing backyard fence to hold the pole. The fence has a 4" diameter square post. I put the pole next to the fence post and used 4 of these clamps to hold it tight. This held the pole tight to the fence post and allowed me to mount my weather station up 10' The 8" clamps were long, so I cut about 3-4" off of them and put them around both the fence post and aluminum pole. Took a while to turn the adjusting mechanism tight. At the same point on every full turn, it got difficult to tighten, I had to use extra force each time to get past this point. Other than that, it worked well. Appears to be very tight but don't know why it couldn't have worked smoother.

Not 6"!
Maybe I ordered it wrong but total waste since it does not fit 6" pipes. If ordering, order big!

Great clamps overall
These work great, but it would be helpful if the instructions were included to let buyers know - you must tighten the screw of the clamp to CLOSE and tighten the grip of the clamp. Very counterintuitive, but one of the videos show these very simple instructions. Thank you to Peterson Products video for making this very simple.

Won't fit an 8 inch HVAC duct pipe!
Seem to be well made, like a worm clamp should be, but the 8 in. clamps will NOT fit around an 8 inch duct, pipe, etc. Stretched out, the clamp is EXACTLY 8 inches long and will not thread together and clamp down. If you want an 8 inch, order a 10 inch!
