I have tried a few different charcoal pills. Still might try other brands/types. My body doesn't metabolize alcohol well and causes inflammation (obviously - alcohol is technically a poison). Sometimes the effects of drinking even 4 drinks over 8 hours will leave me feeling sick and horrible, often accompanied by migraines or terrible headaches. I learned about activated charcoal because when I was in my 20s, there was something on the market called Chaser, which I think was essentially activated charcoal... maybe other ingredients were present, but I was young and just didn't want a hangover, ha. This stuff worked well. Since it's no longer on the market and I am even more sensitive to the poison now, I searched for something else because it's frustrating to have one light beer and feel TERRIBLE the next day. So like I said, I tried a few brands, and can rely on this one for sure. Not to say that you can drink 20 drinks, not ingest any water, get no sleep, and feel great. But if you are trying to prevent a hangover - no matter what kinds of alcohol or alcohol combinations cause them for YOU personally, I would give this a try.My personal method: 2 capsules right before drinking, 2 more after a couple drinks, then another one (or 2?) if you have more drinks throughout the day or night. Chugging as much water as you can during drinking also helps, as does drinking a huge glass of water right before bed.Also, this product is vegan which is what I was looking for. Gelatin is gross. It's made of boiled animal carcasses and toenails.

Works as advertised

Seems to be high quality as far as I can tell (it's not like I can test the contents)- the capsules are packed full and the charcoal (if you open one) is fine powder. Very digestible and helps with many health issues when used properly.

These babies are amazing! Have used many brands of charcoal caps over the years, but these take first place. Very pure product. NO FILLERS. So you need fewer pills to do the job. Saves you time and money! Very convenient to carry with you. No need to look for another brand again.

A necessity of life that one should always have on hand in a pocket or purse. Just look at the news: a bartender planned to murder a US Senator. Having some activated charcoal to take after eating out is a good idea. There are many pre-positioned foreign troops in the USA, not to mention 30 million illegals who and others who poison people in restaurants and homes they work in as I have experienced and the police won't prosecute them even if a heavy metals fecal test shows exactly what the poison is. It is too hard to prosecute poisonings, so the best thing to do is to take activated charcoal capsules (4) with water after eating out or when one gets the symptoms of poisoning.

Activated charcoal in general has changed my (and my family's) life. Stomach aches are no longer an issue, and it seems to help with hangovers as well. This brand met my expectations in similarity to brands I've used before.

Daughter takes this to counteract her Herxheimer reactions when she takes her antibiotics for Lyme Disease. Seems to do the trick. We are very pleased with the quality of this product.
