Organic Tamanu Oil, 0.02 Pound

I did extensive research before purchasing a bunch of beauty, health and fitness products recently. I'm from Australia so wanted to purchase the authentic Tahitian tamanu oil. I read a lot of reviews on different brands not having the correct dark olive color or a pungent stench but this product is a deep green shade and seems to be of a high-quality. The smell is there but doesn't bother me.I've tried a number of things for my perioral dermatitis - steroid creams, hydrocortisone, grape seed oil, hemp seed oil, calendula oil, coconut oil - what I've found to help is to keep the area dry. The best thing to dry-out raw flare-ups is sea salt (Himalayan or Celtic) and I spray this in a small bottle with spring water 3-4 times per day and rinse or dust-off once the salt is dry. Personally, I don't use tap water as I live in New York and the hard water is too harsh for my skin, so I've recently started using alcohol-free witch hazel, which feels gentle, cleans my face well and has also assisted in clearing my skin. I find my dermatitis dries-up fast with the sea salt spray, leaving my skin a bit dry and scaley but raw bump and itch free.I've been appling the tamanu oil overnight for a couple of weeks. The brilliant thing is that although it's an oil, it doesn't leave any oily residue or make my dermatitus flare-ups fester like a fungal infection (unlike using steroid creams or the other oils I mentioned above - especially coconut oil, although I use this for the eczema on my body, after drying it up with the sea salt spray, and it softens my skin very quickly). Now I’m waking up with smooth matte cheeks, the redness is reduced and the dermatitis scaring is fading... I'm very pleased!Hope this review is helpful for others with skin issues!

Smell is a little strong but overall this is a great little bottle that should be in every house

Didn't buy from Amazon.. I used it to help with eczema (as per the leaflet I got). However it didn't help at all..I only felt comfortable using at home as it didn't absorb totally into my skin. It didn't even help with fine lines due to dryness on my lower legs.. Will not purchase again..

I did use this but I am not sure it was effective. The odor, to me, was off putting. I have skin issues and I diluted it with jojoba and other actors. When I remade the blend, I left this out and it was equally effective explains the lower rating.

I received this oil today and several hours ago I rubbed a bit of it into a deep line/crease that has formed across my forehead over the years. The line comes from my daily facial expressions so it tends to get worse by the day.I just caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror and had to do a double-take!! I can not even *SEE* the deep line anymore! It's totally gone. I have purchased several oil products and "restorative" types of facial products in an attempt to lessen this annoying deep wrinkle-line that spans my entire forehead and I have never seen any noticeable results, even with daily use and over a long period of time. I have tried to cover it and camoflage it and never had any luck with either.I can't wait to try more of it on my hair and dry skin areas. It does have a distinctive smell, but it's not off-putting...maybe a tad bit of a woodsy or earthy scent. I am amazed at the results though. I would never use Botox but I imagine the results of using this oil are the same, well...minus the high cost, needles, and dead-muscle stepford-wife-stare.

I bought this because I read that it would help take away scars and skin blemishes, It really seems to work I have been using it when I think about it, not regularly, and the scars where i have been applying it to have gotten significantly diminished, Amazing!, It has a slight smell, but it is not unpleasant and goes away quickly

I like this oil, not greasy like coconut oil. Some may dislike the smell but it does not bother me, smell evaporates quite quickly.

I love this oil. It works well to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
