a coffee we both can agree on
Ok, this is a tough thing to describe, everyone has there preference on coffee flavor. My wife likes the darker roast with noticeable char taste, I like the beany flavor of light roasts. So how to cater to both tastes at same time. I have mixed my own bean mix from several varieties bought from here (RhoadsRoast). A few spoonful's of that some of another, and end up with a coffee with both char and bean flavor... too much work for a quick coffee early in the morning. This is a good middle of the road between both, some bean flavor and some chary over notes making a good cup of mildly strong coffee. Not bitter or acidic tasting and a coffee we both can agree on.

Does not taste like Kenya AA
I have been roasting my own coffee for 15 years or so and have ordered mostly Kenya AA throughout that time. This does not taste like any Kenya AA or AB that I've tried before...very bland flavor. I roasted 3 batches in a Behmor roaster before posting this review.

Great value for Kenya beans
Overall, I would recommend if you like Kenya beans. I tried the 3lb bag medium roasted. I have tried a variety of on-line Kenya offerings, and my opinion is that these are good value and represent the Kenya style well. The medium roast was not overdone like the more known brands (e.g. Starbucks Kenya), which lose the juicy and citrusy flavors coming from Kenya. This isn't my favorite Kenya bean, but I would probably call it my "best value" so far. Kenya beans can be expensive, and the 3lb bag was a great value.I am going to try their 2.5lb Kenya Peaberry next and try it light roasted as some have recommended to bring out even more bean flavor.

Price is okay ....
Not the worst coffee, but not great. Beans roast extremely uneven. I tried re-roasting the yellow beans but that isn't working well. The coffee is okay, a bit bitter. Possibly bitter because some of the beans get over roasted.

Poor quality coffee and worse customer service
The coffee arrived quickly but was not AA+ coffee as advertised. There was a huge variation in bean size and quality. There was a large amount of insect damage and poor sorting. The seller advised me that this was quality coffee and the reason the beans were different sizes had to do with chipping in storage and there was nothing wrong with them. They felt the size variation and quality would not effect the roast. No qualified roaster would ever agree with them. When I advised I wanted my money back, they advised a 25% fee and I had to pay for return shipping. I recommend highly not to do business with them. I had to have Amazon file a claim.

Excellent Quality Kenya, Light Roast Whole Bean - Nice Citrus Finish - Love it!
I enjoy a very strong cup of a light roast coffee with a citris finish. If that sounds like your cup of coffee, this is the coffee for you. I love it. I bought the 5 pound bag of whole beans, light roasted. My final comment is Excellent value and as a Prime member of Amazon, It arrived in two days, so how could I go wrong. I will be buying other coffees from RhoadsRoast in the future.

I could imagine it to be better but that might just be phantom memories from when ...
I have been looking for a decent Kenya AA for a long time. Apparently not a popular coffee because it has all but disappeared from the local grocery stores. The few remaining only offer a dark roast which, IMO, destroys the unique flavor. This has exceeded all expectations! I could imagine it to be better but that might just be phantom memories from when it was plentiful. I was delighted when I came home from work and still smelled the aroma in the house. Thank you RhoadsRoast,
