This Home Cook Hero! Made a convert of us.
Being honest and upfront about this, normally I hate the very concept of these kitchen gadgets. I see them and think "I own a knife" and I despise clutter.BUT, we recently have begun trying to lose some weight and we decided to do a Mary's mini. Basically it involves eating a ton of potatoes. This very quickly got tedious in the potato chopping department and we figured we should just try out one of these things. Now I am forced to admit that I really like this little thing. For starters it makes French fries and hashbrowns in less than a minute (from raw potatoes). It tears through onions, peppers, and zucchini. It even makes zoodles which are actually pretty good now that I have tried them.Cleanup is pretty easy it is completely dishwasher safe and I can attest that it keeps cutting like brand new after multiple cycles in the dishwasher. Sometimes food does get stuck on the blades and it can be tricky to scrape off, but all in all it's not a problem. It has honestly been used so much (almost daily, sometimes multiple times) that it has become a fast fixture on our chopping block and we see no purpose in putting it away. (Unless people are visiting, then we must hide it. It must remain secret.)Really can't heap enough accolades upon this little thing.

Does what I bought it for...
Our other dicer gave out after 2 years; we needed something to dice up onions and other veggies. Although there were some reviews that were against this little chopper, I decided to give it a chance. It works exactly as it is supposed to. We have had no issues chopping onions, carrots, or potatoes. We use the blades as suggested and have had absolutely no problems. As for cleaning - I use the chopper and run water on it to clean off the food particles as soon as I am finished. I have had no issues. I also rarely use the little square container they provide to catch your food. I usually chop up the food over a cutting pad. FYI: The hardest part was getting the main piece apart the first time. It literally twists on and off. That first time took some doing.

Makes French Fries Quick!
I have had something like this before and I've had one of those big, heavy long fry makers with suction cups on the legs. I love the design of this fry chopper, it just makes sense. Push down instead of push across like in the big, clumsy long cutter. It's a breeze to clean. I am concerned about one thing, however. I have owned a cutter similar to this one and the blade insert can break easily. This is the same construction. I LOVE the design, though. It's perfect. I am concerned about the durability of the blades. It would be nice if we could purchase extra blades to replace any that might break. Genius design, though.

Good little chopper
We love this chopper. We bought it for making homemade Salsa... No disappoinment here. The instructions that came says it's not for chopping tomatoes but that's what I bought it so we tried anyway and it worked great for our Roma tomatoes. Chopped the onions and peppers very well. We've also used it for homemade fries. The durability seems good but the tomatoes did stain it but since it said not for chopping tomatoes that's my fault. I would buy it again.

Cleaning
Works very well if you quarter onions, rough cut carrots, peppers, etc. It's a little bit of a pain to clean...you have to acquire a knack...but, I use it a lot and it does save me time for prepping a meal.

Treat it gently as the blades can be damaged.
I loved this unit until the small blade failed. Not sure if a replacement blade can be purchased or a whole new unit must be purchased. It is definitely a time saver for dicing onions peppers etc.

A workhorse!!
I love this vegetable chopper! I previously had 2 different Vidalia onion choppers, which I loved, but both were broken within 6 months of purchase. This chopper is a workhorse and doesn't really have a part to break because the pressure goes straight down on the chopper and not on an arm or other part. The metal wires that form the chopping grid are VERY sharp and work wonderfully. The first time I used it I chopped 21 large onions for salsa. I can tell this thing is not going to break or even wear out anytime soon. I would highly recommend this product!

Easy to use.
This vegetable chopper works great. It is easy to assemble, comes with two dice/chop plates, and is not too difficult to clean. It diced potatoes nicely, but carrots were a little more difficult, but still got the job done. Have not used the spiralizer yet so cannot comment on that. Overall, I would recommend this product.
