Works for exercise equipment
Incredibly light, and actually easier to deal with the wiregate than the normal clips you see on gym equipment. Since this is aluminum instead of steel I fully expect these to get marred up. The edges of the gym parts are not all smooth, and the anodized part scratched off quite easily just moving it around by hand. I didnt buy these as a fashion statement though so meh. Also the wiregate ends are peened over to help prevent coming loose. All in all, very nice carabiner.

They work great if you are in need of carabiners to use ...
We bought these to use with our hammocks. They work great if you are in need of carabiners to use with straps. They seem sturdy and don't bend. They are light weight and seem to function fine, but they are brand new so they should. I am over 200 pounds and they don't bend at all. We have eve put 325 pounds on them between my son and myself and they held the weight great! We used them on July 1 backpacking 3.5 miles into the Unitas in Utah. The light weight nature is fantastic when you are concerned about keeping the weight in your pack to a minimum. I personally have only used the straps 2 times, but my son (13) has used them at least a dozen times in the back yard and at friends' houses. I still think that my boy needs to learn how to use a rope vs. straps, learning how to tie a trucker's hitch to secure his hammock but that is another point. But if you choose to go the hammock strap route, these seems to be a great value and function well out of the box. If I needed another set or two of carabiners, I would order these again in a heartbeat! Worth the money!

great little beaner for racking slings
great little beaner for racking slings, you can put your life on it, but I don't I mainly use it as an extra racking beaner. I am amazed at how strong this little baby is at 12KN that is roughly 2,700lbs, and one weights 19.8 grams, same weight 19.8 grams of a Home Depot .$99 cheapie beaner that has the strength of 150lbs which is .667 KN, so which makes me wonder how did they take the same amount of aluminum and make a beaner that is 18 times stronger, I guess its the wire gate for starters. I use it for racking slings and nuts

Just opened these. They are great quality. I was skeptical due to price but the clip is solid and well formed. The small end is rounded for rope so they're kinda perfect for hammock cord. I'll update after my hammock trip and they've been thoroughly weight tested. : )

High quality non-climbing carabiners
I have been looking for good quality (non-climbing) carabiners that are smaller than climbing carabiners. I use them on bags, packs, camping gear, and dog leashes. In the past, I have had some cheaper quality carabiners that have broken (usually the gate breaks). These non-climbing carabiners are a higher quality, and seem like they will last a long, long time. My hunt is finally over.

Terrific lightweight carabiners. Great for camping hammocks
I've bought these a couple of times. Terrific carabiners. I first bought them for hammocks, they're very strong. They are not for climbing, but they are less expensive and much lighter weight than climbing carabiners. These weigh about as much as cheapo key chain carabiners, but you never have to worry about the weight rating--so I just use these for everything from hanging a bathroom bag to a hammock and I never worry.

Gram counters may be disappointed
Weight claimed to be 0.7oz/20g online and packaging claims 0.71oz. On my scale the orange biners come in at 0.78oz/22g and the black biners are 0.74oz/21g. Compared to a Camp Nano 22 I have which is 0.81oz/23g, they are a hair lighter. Same gate width as the Camp Nano, but since the Nano is slightly larger the gate clearance is a bit less. Otherwise, they appear to be well made. Comparison to Camp Nano carabiner for size/weight purpose only; remember, these are NOT rated for climbing. I will be using these for hammock hanging, bear bag hang, and attaching camp shoes to pack.
