The all-metal hose-end shut offs purchased in the past all have tiny little Phillips-head screws thru the on-off lever that constantly come loose and are hard to tell if they are loose resulting in lost on-off devices with which you turn the interior ball-valve on or off. This baby has a much larger lever that is easier to grasp and turn with wet hands and is fastened to the valve body with a nice-sized nut that is easy to tell if it is coming loose and requires tightening or not. Nice improvement on a basic design that makes a world of difference.

The only part of this shutoff valve that is not brass is the ball inside that closes to let the water in or close it off.That of course isn't brass. It is a very hard plastic. They work as they are suppose to work. And if you want them to keep working well, take the fittings off for the winter if you live where it freezes.

Easy GHT threaded ends 3/4. Female end comes with rubber washer inside. Brass material with ball valve design. Using it as a valve for outside instead of a spigot.

You won't find anything made as well as this one for any price. Really solid all machined brass.

Installed this yesterday as an option to avoid replacing a welded outdoor fault with a slow leak. I used plumber tape to help prevent this from fusing to the existing fault. Not one drip afterwards. Will update this post with this doesn't remain leak free through the rest of the year.

Very good 1/4 turn valve. Well built, easy to turn on/off. When off it's off, no drips, which is good. Works as it should. Will purchase again if and when needed.

I like it because my hose is 20 feet from the house water Spigot. This allows me to keep that always on and control the water closer to the source
