Pretty solid little nailer
Purchased this to get the extra length (2 1/2 inch) and gauge of nails vs. brads. The brads are fine for interior and craft work, but for other lumber projects you need a nailer. I got this on a close out (or something) for $49; a total steal in my opinion. I'm a home owner and it has worked great on my 5 ft redwood fence I built for the front yard. Had one jam (think it was due to a snag on the nail head from nail mfg), not from the gun itself. Ejected that bad nail, and all the rest in the string fired off no problems. It's heavy duty enough for weekend projects and has already paid for it self in one fence job I've done. The construction is solid and feels heavy in the hand. I found no options or differences between NuMax gun and the bigger name brands (only name and price!).

You can't beat this nailer for the price, so ...
You can't beat this nailer for the price, so it gets 5 stars. Almost cheaper than renting one from the hardware store! But there are a two cons worth mentioning: First, it doesn't have a hook to hang from your tool belt or pocket, which means you have to set this nailer down on on the floor when you need your hands free. Second, the tool has limited adjustability and is a little weak on driving power. I was using 2" Porter Cable nails to attach 3/4" pine tongue & groove to 2x4s, but even at max power, this tool wouldn't drive them all the way in . . . I had turn my compressor up to 120 psi (more than the max rated 110 psi on the tool) just to get the nails to go all the way in.

Worked awesome
My first experience with a nail gun. It worked perfectly with no jams at all. Built an entire wall with pallet wood at it worked perfectly.

Well built quality nail gun...
I purchased this in February of 2016 and have driven a few thousand nails of various lengths. Early on I had one jam but it was easily cleared and has worked flawlessly since with the exception of this weekend. The gun was working fine and when it suddenly failed to grab the next nail in the slide. The tip that drives the nail did not recede far enough back into the drive to clear the path for the next nail. Long story short, turns out these pneumatic nailers require periodic oiling. First I've heard of that.I purchased a 4oz bottle of DeWalt Pneumatic Fastening Tool Lubricant from a local big box for about $3 and a few drops in the nozzle inlet did the trick. The last hundred or so nails have driven fine.I'll assume all these tools use the same basic kind of oil, if anyone is the wiser please post a comment.Very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend it. If you're a processional cabinet maker and tools like this are your life I'm sure there are better ones and they're worth the extra cost. But for just about anything anyone would want to do around the house, even occasional projects that are pretty intense this tool should work fine.

Believe the reviews - This nailer would be good at double the price
I bought this and the NuMax floor nailer to put down 3/4 " hardwood flooring. I figured at this price they only had to last for one job. When it arrived I was seriously surprised by the build quality. And so far I've not had a single jam or misfire. Depth adjust works as expected. Unless you're a professional using a nailer all day every day, this is the right one to buy. I can't imagine paying 3 times as much for a different brand. These numax nailers seem equivalent to all the ones I tried at Lowes and HomeDepot. Perhaps it'll fail some day. But I doubt I'll ever put that much wear and tear on it. And if it does fail, it was still the right one to buy for me as a DIY home renovator and hobbyist.

Amazing for the money
I was very surprised and happy with the quality of this nail gun for the price. The Numax 16 gauge nail gun is well built, I have built and inspected aircraft parts for 15 years, I know a little bit about quality. The latch for the jam removal door is well-built, fits well and doesn't rattle. All the screws are tight and fit properly. All the roll pins fit in place properly and doesn't stick out to scratch your fingers and hands. Seals don't leak, nail depth adjusts easily. I am very impressed with the quality of Numax nail guns. I'm in a wheelchair and have limited strength due to MS, the grip, the balance, and the ease of the trigger pull are all very good. It is easy to load andremove the nails to change the length you need. I was nailing together a wooden box and trying to nail across another nailed area, the nail I was shooting in hit a cross nail, it just crumpled the nail and didn't even phase the nail gun. I have fired several hundred nails through this gun and it has yet to jam up even with hitting a cross nail and crumpling it. Very good quality gun for the money. I will definitely buy this brand of nail gun again when I need another gauge. Very impressed with this nail gun.

Great nailer for outdoor DIY projects
When I placed the order, I was concerned about the quality b/c of their price vs market price for any of the "big brand" 16 gauge nailers. I just finished this small project, fired off at least 1000 nails (in the summer heat, humidity & afternoon showers of Atlanta) & still going strong! It works much better & has more features than my "Harbor Freight house brand" nailer, and expectedly falls short of my $180 Hitachi nailer. This NuMax nailer met and far exceeded my expectations for the price I paid, hence the 5 stars. Plus I now can save my expensive nailers for indoor projects & furniture making.

works fine for shooting 2 inch nails through 3/4 inch maple flooring into 1 inch subfloor
I bought this to use for installing 3/4 inch maple flooring down on 1 inch plywood subfloor. I don't need to use it a lot, just for the couple of rows that are too close to the wall to use my flooring nailer. So far I've shot 150 or so nails and it's been working fine. no jams or misfires yet. I'm using Porter Cable nails. I've used only 18 gauge before and these appear about twice the size with heads that I think are even more then twice the size of the 18 gauge heads. So I think this is a nice step up in holding power over the 18 gauge.
