SC Lifestyle Heavy Duty Canvas Firewood Log Tote

I just bought this item a few weeks ago, but have already made plenty of trips to the woodpile to test the tote. So far, I find it sturdy and well-designed. I especially like that the box-like bottom does a good job collecting the bark bits and saw dust that would otherwise fall onto the living room floor. This means I can get the wood into the house without leaving a trail of splinters and forest detritus. My wood is cut at about 20 inches, and this tote handles that size easily. I would say that while the size of the tote is ample, those who want to reduce the number of trips outside during a blizzard and who have the physical strength to carry more weight will want to buy two, one for each hand -- aside from getting more wood into the house in fewer trips, this will also allow you to do some load-balancing, which may be better for your back and may make the carrying safer across slippery winter surfaces.

Pack it in! This wood carrier - worked great for hauling the wood from outside into the house next to the woodstove. I hauled a little over a cord of wood with this tote and there is no wear and tear to show for it. It is heavy duty, quality sewn, and handles 5-7 large pieces of wood. I wouldn't be worried about how much it carries - worry more how much you can lift! Another great benefit is that the bottom has a lip around the sides so it pockets any debris that may come from the logs and it isn't tracked into the house. The handles are made with heavy duty straps that are sewn to the tote material (canvas). I have found a myriad of other uses for it too - like carrying towels towels or bulky items, carrying toys, and painting canvases, etc... Very happy with this item and would highly recommend.

This is one of my best purchases ever on Amazon. This log totes is sewn together very well and uses fairly heavy canvas. It easily carries 3-4 pieces of firewood, and 4-5 pieces is manageable if a person has strong hands to hold the straps together. At this low price, I'd clearly be satisfied in getting only one year of use out of this, but I'm already beginning my second winter season toting wood from my firebox in the mudroom, directly to my fireplace in my greatroom. It also conveniently holds/catches all the bark-crumbs, etc. while carrying the wood throughout the room vs. dropping it on the floor and making a mess. I recently purchased another one of these log totes just to have on hand, should my present one start to wear through. Don't hesitate in buying this people, it's a no-brainer.

Carrying wood was never the intended purpose for this tote. We have a very arthritic Corgi and a 2 story house. We like to spend time downstairs but with our 14 year old Corgi's short arthritic lets we were having to have to leave her upstairs alone. She's just too hard to carry. My husband happened on the idea of using this tote to carry her downstairs and it works like a charm. She's about 30 lbs and it handles her like a charm. We just spread it out on the floor, she steps into it and it is easy and comfortable for her to be transported this way. Oh and I'll bet it works real good on firewood too. It's very sturdy and I have no doubt it will be used this winter to tote firewood. The attached pictures are very blurry but you get the idea.

This tote is great in every single way (as other buys have attested), but the only small quibble I have is that the handles are about2" too short. This actually makes carrying the logs a little more difficult. I have another tote that I paid only a couple bucks more for, and the handles are a tad longer and it makes a difference.But if you don't think that will bother you, go ahead and order this. It's strong, long enough, water proof, etc. Just wonderful in every way except what I described. I'd buy it again if I did not have another option.

Good tote for the money. The handles are short, which makes them a bit sturdier and less likely to overload the tote as I did my old tote. I like that it is all one piece construction (not counting the handles) My old tote had a sewn in bottom and this created a point of weakness. The material is reasonably thick/sturdy. I would liked the ends to be taller to so you can stack logs vertically and not have them fall out.

Works well built so handle will not fall off for some time. I like it because it is longer so I get bigger pieces in. Need to put a couple of holes in the top. After I pick up wood, I would like to hold it closed. When I throw it in the back of the truck it opens and moves around. I obviously use this to pick up fire wood for camping. Would buy another if I needed it.

Would give it that extra star however I haven't had enough time to use it much. I took it out of the plastic, it seems durable enough. As my son and I were stacking wood this weekend, he asked if he could use it to bring wood in the house. He made 2 trips and I guess everything was fine.Will look to update review if needed. Either way, definitely seems like its worth the money.
