Pros: Seems like a sturdy door, well put together, absolutely adore the extra layer of protection on the bottom. I have a dog and I was worried he might scratch at the screen, but with the extra honeycomb-like screen on the bottom, I have no concerns about that now. It is hardwood. It looks great and does not seem flimsy. The price is also a good point. It may not seem like it at first since it's unfinished, but the amount of money you will spend on hardware and an outdoor sealer is way less than you would spend on shipping from Home Depot or Lowes for a flimsier door. Believe me, I checked-- it's $60 at one and $90 at the other and both are within 10 minutes of where I live- I just don't have a car that I can fit a door in to take home. I'm about to buy hinges, pull handles and a door latch, and outdoor sealant and it's only costing me about $30 total. It's a huge savings compared to the alternative.Cons: It not come with hardware (some comments/answers say it does- they might've gotten lucky because of surplus supplies or something but it does not and the manufacturer says it doesn't). It does not come with a hole drilled for a handle, so you will be responsible for doing so yourself. I decided to get some pull handles and a door latch and that's going to save me from drilling, but if you want a knob or deadbolt that's on you to have the woodworking skills to do it. I feel like this is something that should've been drilled into the door to start with given the price point, but it's easy to work around. It says the door is unfinished which is fine, but it's also not sanded so BE CAREFUL when you take it out of the box!! There's a good chance you'll get a splinter if you don't. The wood also seems to have a fair amount of dirt on it so I'll have to clean it before I get to sanding and finishing it.OVERALL: It's good quality for a decent price, as long as you're willing to put the work in yourself. Personally, I think it's kind of cool because it should be a fun project to finish before it gets too hot this summer and I absolutely adore the extra protective screen at the bottom. Getting to pick out my own handle and hinges gives me the opportunity to apply my own style to the door, too.I'll update with before and after photos so you can see the results later.
