I bought this to help alleviate neck pain when using my cell phone. I do all of my reading (books, magazines, newspaper) on my cell phone. But holding my phone in my hands, I found I was always tilting my head down, as I hold the phone about belly high. My naturopath told me to hold the phone in front of my face, or I'd keep putting my spine's cervical joints out of wack. So I bought this holder, mounted it to a lap desk (it is SO easy to attach to most anything with a well designed clamp), and wa-la my neck pain went away! Even though I've rated it five stars, there are a couple of issues you need to be aware of: your phone will vibrate when you touch it or the stand (I anticipated this); and the flexible rod is very stiff (I bent it to the shape I want and am leaving it there -- it is not only stiff, I'm concerned bending it frequently, especially in the same spot, would cause the metal to fatigue and break. The way I am using it, though, that should not be a problem.

Bought this to use by with my iPhone X for in bed reading/browsing, and it works pretty good.Definitely met expectations for an apparatus this size and price. The chord has a good strength to it, but is still bendable without too much effort, and the phone spring functions easily. The clamp is a better idea than may other versions of this I’ve seen and can open to a decently wide space. I have mine clamp to the headboard by the bed.I’m sure there are more functional devices like this out there, but for the price it works great and I believe it will hold up for a while.The clamp piece is made of plastic, so that would be my only concern regarding durability as it does seem it could be broken if clamped to too small an area or if the arm was significantly impacted while it was attached to something.

The base of the Tryone phone holder securely holds the unit to any mount not exceeding 3 inches and provides the stability necessary for the long arm to hold your phone. It's nicely constructed and attractively designed--absolutely great for giving you hands-free viewing of your phone .

I modified it to use as a phone holder in my truck. A little more vibration than I really want but just set it near the center arm rest and it is fine.

I only tested this on my Iphone X and so far it works fine, but I dont think it would hold a heavier model, or otherwise it will shake a lot.

Product broke after about two months of light use. The arm is made from solid metal material, not several wires, and weakens over time and eventually failing when the pivot point is the same. Product failed after about 30 - 40 uses.

I use this on my nightstand so I do not have to hold my phone when laying in bed. I can watch videoes or talk on the phone with no issues. Highly recommend!

I am one loathe to write reviews or participate in any sort of social activity on the web; however, I must say, this item is is just perfect if you need to do work at a desk, and it's particularly helpful in bed if you're on your phone you got to try this thing it's killer I couldn't be more satisfief with it. The arm is super sturdy so it'll stay in position you put it in.
