Casual Home 18-Inch Director Chair, Natural Frame

This director's chair came quickly and as advertised. It went together easily. The frame is of a thickness that that the chair is quite sturdy. The natural finish with covers of dark green looks terrific. It is comfortable to sit in but is you are over 200 pounds you may want to get a wider chair.

This chair was made in Thailand and is well made and stained to perfection. Ordering a second chair and hoping to get the same quality. Beautifully made.

I don't think the onus should be on the consumer to have to figure out (in this case on Christmas after my girlfriend opened her present) that the chair isn't actually a chair, per se. Without the canvas seat and back, which is what I found out the hard way is sold seperately, it doesn't meet the definition of chair. If you can't sit on it, it's at best a place to lay an ironing board, keyboard, etc. Buyer beware. If they had made that more clear, I would not have bought it but at least then they would not be getting yet another bad review from an angry customer such as myself.

Delivered damaged. Canvas was blaze orange. Very ugly. Directly to the basement. Too cumbersome to return.

Things you should know: 1. This is nice wood, it's sturdy. HOWEVER, my first chair came with a Crack in the arm. No problem. It was immediately replaced buuuut ... the second chair was cracked in the same place but on the other arm. Ugh. I emailed the company, let them know, they offered to replace it but i needed it for that weekend so i just kinda repaired it myself. ( it then broke on the other side of my repair) The company was very communicative, no problem there. I think it was just luck of the draw in the delivery scene. Still recommend. BUT... there's a reason this chair is half the price of the others: 2. there's no canvas. Oh, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking , " but there's canvas in every picture and even in the description". Yeah, I thought so too. I never got canvas. I'm a Leatherworker, so I made my own thing... as you'll see in the pic. But if you're not handy, well. Get the more expensive one. 3. This folds down... if you remove the back canvas from one side and don't attach the foot rest. Otherwise, you'll have to attach/detach these things every time you wanna move it. But it's sturdy when put together and my handmade back rest and seat were pretty comfy, so I'll leave the rest up to you. That was my experience.

I bought two 18 inch honey oak chairs, which were Amazon Prime eligible. I received them in ONE day. These chairs are exactly what they're supposed to be. Simple, functional, casual chair, which can, with different canvas colors, turn a blah casual area into an artsy one. They're made just like the one I bought at Pier One over fifteen years ago and the simple design has remained the same. Sturdy, they don't wobble, the color matches my antique kitchen table and they look great with it. The canvas covers went on easily, and they hold up over time and clean easily. For the price I'm very, very, happy. I was surprised to find so many negative reviews!? I also have a 24 inch that required putting the foot rest on and didn't have any problems whatsoever with it. Regardless of the bad reviews I would absolutely purchase one again. Plus for some reason I received the canvas covers, which I was not expecting, AT ALL :)

These chairs are not the greatest. They work fine, but they are not exceptionally durable. I bought my first 2.5 years ago. I've used it through 3 summers and falls of shows, and at this point, the footrest has to be taped in place to make it stay, and the chair rocks back and forth. Everything is loose and rather rickety. It still holds together and works, but it's not solid. The second is this version, a natural finish. My first had a white finish that chipped and rubbed away quickly, so it looks kinda ratty if you get close to it. We'll see how this one holds up.

Arrived without the seat and the back. You told us we'd get a bit of a credit back. It's a Chair. The back and seat are part of the chair. We ended up having to take this to an upholsterer to put on a back and seat. Amazon does not appear to have a clue to how to back up their products.

Arrived without the canvas. How disappointing.
