The toaster looks as good in person as I had hoped and that was really important in my toaster search... more important than it should have been. The settings are easy to set with the turn of the knob that clicks about 7 times between each number. So between 1 and 2 there are seven clicks or settings. At the lowest setting of 1 it was pretty perfect for me, but some people might want less toasty toast, so keep that in mind. At 3 regular bread was burnt. I will assume the higher, longer settings are for thicker breads and frozen bagels etc. The cord comes out at the front corner of the toaster which I found odd. Over all I am very happy with our new toaster and it perfect for me.

We researched toaster on line and purchased this great toaster. It is very easy to get the exactdegree of browning for each type of bread.

I did a fair amount of research to try to find a new toaster after my roommate moved out. I'm into sustainability, so I wanted something that would look nice and, most importantly, last a long time. I hoped that by paying slightly more for this model than others, I would be able to have the toaster far into the future. Yet, here I am, 12 days after delivery, with completely burnt food at a low setting. I find that this toaster has little to no consistency -- I've had food turn totally brown at 1 and be barely crisp at 5. I think this might be because the setting dial does not have strict numbers, but rotates freely.I use my toaster every day, so this is simply unacceptable. Pictured, you can see the state of my toast (burnt) with a photo of the setting I used (3). I feel like I haven't been this unlucky with a product in a long time.

Original Review:This toaster looks great, works great, but broke after four weeks.After about two weeks the push down mechanism started to break (you push the lever down and it won't hold 50% of the time). After four weeks it now loudly buzzes after toasting for 10 seconds and pops up.Left me sad.Edit:The company behind this toaster reached out to me and immediately sent me a replacement. I will hold the review at 4 stars for awesome customer service, and if the new toaster works well, will update accordingly.Edit 2:Still going strong, looking good, and working great. 5/5

The product is as stated. But they did not tell you that the toaster heats up not only the toast but the whole outside of the toaster. Watch out if you have little kids round the house because they could burn their hands as could anyone who touches the toaster after it toasts you bread.

The retro style and size of the toaster were perfect. Dials were basic, easy to use and reliable. Breads and English muffins toasted nicely. Then after five months of normal use it died. Actually, putting in a second round of bread to be toasted this morning, the 'handle' that lowers the carriage holding the bread would not stay down. If we held it down the heating elements worked fine. Again, we had this toaster for FIVE months. We're past the date for customer care help so it appears we are out of $39.99. Don't waste YOUR $39.99 on this product.UPDATE: After submitting this review I was contacted by a very sweet company representative who immediately sent me a replacement toaster. I had given up any hope for customer satisfaction since I missed deadlines for customer complaints/service. As I had written, I was very satisfied with the toaster until it had the malfunction. I would like to think I will not have problems with the replacement. Because of the action taken by Keemo I would now definitely buy other products from them. They have earned my respect and regard.
