Very versatile loden coat!
My husband is a German American and he's been looking for a loden coat for many years. So, when I happened across this one in Amazon, I decided to purchase it for him for Christmas. He is absolutely THRILLED with it! He normally wears sweaters in size XL, but I bought this coat in XXL to allow him to comfortably wear a heavy sweater underneath, and I'm glad I did get him the larger size. Although the XL probably would have been fine, he likes a roomier fit. He has remarked several times about how comfortable, breathable and silent it is when he moves his arms. He's a hunter and said this is perfect for being outdoors with his dogs, but also dressy/classy enough that he wears it to church. It is extremely well made.

Impeccable Craftsmanship!
The craftsmanship is impeccable! Rich color and very thick wool. Very high quality. Please be aware that the sleeves go up to your elbows when lifting your arms as well as at the bottom exposing a quarter of your back, so this garment is best suited for casual activates that don’t include raising your arms above your head. Going up a size will make the chest section way too large just to get the arm length to fit... The look of the garment is very traditional “shepherd”. There is no detail overlooked and it is very clear that much time and love when into the production.

Wow - what a nice jacket
This is the best Jacket ever. My husband gets soooooo many compliments on it. Added bonus it is MADE in Austria NOT CHINA. If one takes care of this jacket - it will last a life time.

First rate traditional garment.
This jacket is a traditional bit of field gear that gives a distinctive look. The craftsmanship is excellent and the wool is tough and thick. The sewing is tight everywhere and details like buttons are given good attention.The fit is a bit unusual and you may want to talk with Sweater Chalet before ordering. They are very friendly and very willing to help out if you have questions.Boiled wool is special and the look and feel is eye catching. I would recommend to anyone and will buy again. I'm very satisfied.
