This vent mount attaches well to the back of the GPS, but the clip to the vent mount is weak and does not hold the weight of the GPS, It needs a better, more secure clip.

Because I now use my nav mat for my dash cam and don't want to attach my Garmin DriveSmart Sat Nav to the windscreen, I needed something to mount it on an air vent. This little gadget fits the bill perfectly. It is surprisingly small but when fitted to the air vent it holds the sat nav firmly and well placed for both watching or adjustment. The back of the sat nav clicks simply on to the connector. With the lack of instructions it took a bit of thought as to which way to fit the grips but on looking at the photo on the web page it was easily solved. I think it could be somewhat difficult to remove the connector from the air vent so I take off my sat nav and leave the connector in the vent. It is so small that I hardly notice it still there. Very glad I bought it.

straight out of the packet, looks nasty & brittle plastic. Not even assembled (it comes in 4 parts) and no diagram either. Had to refer back to the photo on my order to see how it fits together.I have just read all the comments but haven't actually tried it in my car. If the Garmin keeps falling down the it will be going back for a refund, no doubt about it.Reserving final judgement.UPDATE: Tried it and it kept falling off! Its being returned at great expense!

I hate sticker rings on windscreens and mats that slide across the dashboard. I found this mounting very adaptable, having used it in two different cars.

Flimsy as hell, every time you try to take your sat nav off the dashboard, the entire mount comes away with it. Its as if those who made it didnt even both to test it. Soon as you open it you can tell the quality is definately not there, its that real cheap, brittle plastic, not the hard wearing tough stuff that the Garmin mounts are made of.

Do not buy. It broke my air vents and doesn’t stay in place. The clips are pathetic.
