This is amazing! I ordered it for my nephew, 3 months in, at the NICU. It is absolutely adorable, safe and versatile for his hospital crib!

The penguin is super soft. the sound machine fits into the penguins belly, thats hard but is only felt from the front the sides and back of the penguin remain super plush. the sound machine has an adjustable volume that can go from super quiet to pretty loud. the sounds are pleasant and sound like the vairous things they are supposed to (rain sounds like rain etc) the lights were cute but i didnt really use them as I am lucky enough to have a child that likes sleeping in the dark. It has an auto off timer that can be set easily. I found it to be especially helpful when there was a lot of commotion going on outside the babys door (like bedtime for my older children) where that noise would usually wake her and i would be running around like a possessed librarian SHHing everyone, i could just turn the penguin on and a simple reminder to everyone else to use their inside voice was enough.

My little one is 3 months old and I've been putting her to sleep with the same song and stars every night. She absolutely loves it, I normally use it only at bedtime but today she was having a really hard time I turned it on and she instantly relaxed. She is my third and I wish I'd had it with my other two. Great product!!

The first time i purchased this item, the music was sub par. It sounded as if it was skipping and was honestly extremely annoying. That being said, the company sent me a replacement and it is MUCH better! The music plays as it should and the lights are cute! It’s very soft as well! I’m very pleased with the replacement and customer service!

Update: I went from 1 star to 5 because of their amazing customer service! I wrote that my previous one didn't work and they got a hold of me right away so they could send me a new one. The new works great! Definitely recommend buying this!I loved it at first but I have only had it a short time (a little over a month) and now the replay button doesn't work so it changes the sounds and wakes up my baby.

I bought this for my 5 yo penguin obsessed child that needed a little something to encourage staying in the bed at night! The first one didn’t work so by the time the replacement arrived it had been overly anticipated IMO! In all fairness my daughter LOVES this thing. While it is super cute and I love the idea of it (cute penguin, removable electronics therefore washable) I hate it. I hate the sounds it makes (heartbeat is obnoxious as are the bird sounds in the “waves”), the music is “ok” but the sound quality is super poor. I find that the lights are overly bright and horrible to help “soothe” a child to sleep as it switches from one color to another (it does this with the sounds too) and the brightness level is too much to be considered calming. I can’t imagine anyone wanting this for a baby as the sounds and lights are anything less than soothing.

I literally just got this about an hour ago. I took it out of the box and while I installed the batteries my 3 month old was snuggling his face in it because it is so soft!! Once I installed the batteries and put the box back in the penguin, I turned it on and he immediately was quiet and calm. Then, I laid him down and he fell right asleep as I started it up in his playpen. I had never heard of these till recently and am very happy with my purchase already!! My 3 month old often fights his sleep, so I was very shocked and satisfied when it worked! My husband was very iffy about these actually working, but I am glad to show him that it does work!! The penguin is so soft and the soothing noises help so I highly recommend! I haven't even tried the light show on him yet but I know that will be a big plus as well!!

This is a must have for parents. It's a great tool for sleep comfort and training. It gives adjustable continuous noise and my 3 month old wouldn’t be able to sleep the night without it.
