Pip and Posy - the new friend - english version
I would like to highlight the quality of the cover and of the pages of this book - it is such a pleasure to hold the book in hands. Drawings are nice and colourful, story is very kind.

Pip and Posy are great for toddlers
My 2-year old loves all the Pip and Posy books, and I can see why. Great illustrations, easy text, and really relateable stories. We bought this book 6 weeks ago, and still read it every evening. In this story, Pip and Posy are at the beach, and Pip finds a new friend, Zac. They play together, and Posy feels left out. When they all go to buy ice-cream, Zac's ice cream gets stolen by a seagull (which gets my little one super excited every time) and is very upset. Then Posy does something nice to stop him from crying, giving him her lst coin so he can buy a new ice cream.Usually rather on the short side (between 150 and 300 words, I would say), these are great bedtime stories as you can go through them in a few minutes. The drawings are (as always with Axel Scheffler) expressive, toddler-aspiring and rich in detail. The stories have an easily understandable learning in them: Pip and Posy struggle with typical toddler-like big emotions and reactions (they get mad at each other, they push each other, they take away things, ... I think there are actually tears in each story) AND in each story, one of them does something really nice to console the other again (giving a big hug, blowing bubbles for the other, saying I'm sorry and thank you, ...).
