Given the negative reviews on this item, I almost didn't buy it. I'm glad that I did. Read all the reviews! The trick to getting maximum hold with this wax is to scrape a short, thin ribbon of it onto the back of your thumbnail. When this has been rubbed between your index finger and thumb until its transparent, and immediately transferred to a small section of your mustache where you want maximum hold (I do the hair just above my lip and the remotest tips on each side), the hair responds marvelously when combed and touched into place. I usually need to repeat the scrape and rub operation six to eight times. Do only a little of the mustache at a time. This is NOT a beard balm; it's strictly for mustache control and then, only for difficult to control areas. I carry the tin with me for mid-day touch up. For the rest of my mustache I us the regular hardness Capt. Fawcett's Moustache Wax.

This is absolutely, hands down the best mustache wax I have ever used. I have used it in the past, but it was always hard to get and very expensive, so when I saw this, I had to jump on it. It is a very hard and stiff wax, which I have seen many people complain about, and gave it low ratings because of this. It is meant to be hard and thick; this is why it works so well compared to all the others. A trick I learned long ago, is to melt it with a lighter, dip a mustache comb in it, and comb it through. It will begin drying quickly, and look a little chunky, but after you have it in, it can be smoothed out with a good bore bristle brush. The next order will be in bulk.

I like this item a lot, but it is not easy to apply. It is very hard, and does not spread AT ALL! But...once you get it in, YES, it will hold through a hurricane. If you follow these steps you can work with it though. Take a blow dryer and warm the wax up in the can, this allows you to be able to scoop a little onto you finger, but it is still very stiff. Work it as best you can into small areas in your stash. It will still be clumpy at this point. Once you have it in your stash, turn the blow dryer towards your stash. Now the wax will become very soft, and allow you to style it the way you want. Once it cools your stash is set FOREVER! You might save this for special occasions, and keep another can of the softer wax handy for everyday. It smells great, a little pricey but great value. You ARE getting what you pay for.

I am unimpressed. I tried removing it with my fingernail. Forget that! I tried using my scissors. That became a mess. I tried carrying it around all day, even. That didn't work. My last trick was to heat it with a T-Light. That melted it alright. As soon as I put my finger in it, it instantly cooled off, just like regular wax. It was impossible on all levels for me to work with. And certainly, since I can't return it, I will certainly not purchase from this company again. I will "experiment" elsewhere.

Just didn’t last. For the price point I expected more. Smells great, went on fine, but didn’t last. If you go outside or drive with the sun on your face, it disappears.

This stuff is awesome. I’ve been using it for two years and so far haven’t found a suitable match. Firm hold that’s a total pain to apply unless it’s mid summer. This is the only firm wax I have that is up to the challenge and is not tacky or greasy. Almost what I describe as a dryer (as opposed to wet or greasy) wax. Gives a natural look when applied sparingly. It requires several small layers (so it’ll melt ok) of application or a hairdryer to get larger amounts to fully melt in the fingertips. The smell is awesome but I wish expedition strength came in another fragrance as well.

Long lasting, strong holding wax. I apply once in the morning and the moustache stays in place all day. No need for touch ups. I soften it up with a blow dryer, otherwise it can be difficult to apply. Well worth the cost. A little goes a long way.

The smell is fantastic. However the wax is tougher than a $2 steak. It doesn't come out the tin well, it doesn't break down for application and always leaves a flaky residue.

Ich war lange auf der Suche nach einer anständigen Bartwichse. Was soll ich sagen, gefunden. Mein Bart ist sehr hart, kaum zu bändigen. MIt dieser Wichse jedoch optimal. Ja sie ist hart, aber das muss so sein. Wer was besseres will, soll sich Got2b Kleber reinschmieren, wobei ob das besser wäre wage ich zu bezweifeln. Es riecht dezent pfeffrig, würzig, vergeht aber relativ schnell. Mir gefällt der halt, die Wiederformbarkeit und das es aus Naturprodukten gemacht ist. Wer will schon Castoröle oder irgendwelche evlt. im Krebs verdacht stehenden Produkte am Mund haben?! Ich kann es jedem empfehlen der einen harten, schwer formabaren bart hat, selbstverständlich auch an alle anderen. Man muss nur damit umgehen können. Sehr ergibig, wird bestimmt ein Jahr halten! Immer wieder gerne, nichts anderes mehr!

C'est une excellente cire à moustaches, j'ai eu des difficultés à trouver quelque chose qui tienne bien et permettre de bien sculpter les poils rebelles ! L'astuce, c'est d'en prendre l'équivalent d'un grain de sésame sous l'ongle, le faire chauffer entre l'index et le pouce et d'appliquer sur toute la longueur de la moustache. En y allant doucement, on obtient une sculpture vraiment bonne de la moustache. Pour ce qui est de l'odeur, j'apprécie vraiment. Franchement ça tient dans la poche et ça fait le café au top, avec des ingrédient bien quali donc foncez.
