Super informative, covered most items I would attempt at home
I dropped my bike on a highway skid after my brakes locked up and this books helped me bring the bike back into shape. Covers most aspects of the body, engine and auxiliaries with plenty of pictures to show you exactly what to do. Buy this if you want to work on the YZF600R at home, or just want to know more about the bike.

Excellent Book for Weekend Repairs
I was tired of going to the shop any time my YZF needed service and paying $60/hr. I decided I would try this book. It fits the bill for the weekend mechanic. Instead of taking a new exhaust system I purchased to the shop I simply used the books guidance which was spot on. So, in essense the book has already paid for itself.

First time breaking down the engine
Greatly appreciated. Got my manual in 3 days. I split the cases and got the engine back together I. About 3 weeks. What's cool is, I never broke down an engine. Thamks

Good of course but...
Yes Haynes are the best, and we all need one to maintain our bikes. Generally this is really good but there are two things which really bug me.1. The cover states 'full colour'. Really? yes there are some colour images at the front but about 98% of all images are black and white. Hmmm.2. If you're truly clueless about bike mechanics (like me) but are learning, the fact that text often tells you to 'refer to illustration' assumes you know which one. It does not read 'see illustration 1b' for example. So on pages with multiple illustrations, if you really have no idea what a certain widget looks like then it's hard to know to which one they're referring! However, even flicking through a few pages has paid dividends with advice on NOT pressure spraying your chain for example, which I've always done! Doh.
