2007 - Medium Shank

My daughter has been wearing this brand/style of pointe shoes for years but there was a problem with these. She (and her ballet teacher) said that the shanks were too stiff and could not be softened. So much so, that she cannot get up into demi-pointe (whatever that is; I am relaying what she told me). They don't know why these would be different than the last 20+ pairs we have purchased. Theories are that maybe they sat in the warehouse too long or were subjected to excessive heat or cold that somehow affected the shank. Or maybe it was just a manufacturing defect in this lot. Regardless, this was very disappointing and they are now considering whether she needs to change brands/styles or just buy them from a different vendor to see if they are comparable to the other many pairs we have purchased over the years.

These shoes have very hard shanks. I am not sure if it is a defect in this particular batch or something else. My daughter has danced on pointe for almost 4 years now and loves the Grishka Pro Flex brand. However, this pair made her feet extremely sore and gave her significant blisters just after ONE class period of wearing them. Totally not the quality & comfort we have come to expect from Grishka. Very disappointed!! However I will say when I contacted the seller about our issue they did agree to refund a portion of the sale price just for the inconvenience and additional expense I incurred from needing to go buy another pair of pointe shoes at a local dance shop! (Even though they do not accept returns of used dance shoes) So if there was a separate rating for customer service they would get 4 stars!

Finally, a pair of pointe shoes that's actually narrow enough for my feet! I was skeptical about buying them on here, especially due to sizing, but I was not disappointed. They fit perfectly!

there are so many problems with this, for starters the shank is veryyy hard and cannot be broken into also the sizing was not right and i have to order a smaller pair but i’m definitely not ordering it from here my god these are the worst grishkos ever

Identical to the shoes we have purchased in traditional dancewear stores, only cheaper. Perfect!

My dancer loves the Pointe shoes. No problems with the size/fit . If you're unsure of the correct size to order, please go to your nearby dance supply store to get properly fitted by a professional dancer. Pre-fitting is your best option.

My daughter was very disappointed with this purchase.
