Oil Changing Made Easy
One of these came on a motorcycle I purchased from a guy several years ago. I found it to be an excellent invention that makes changing oil a snap. Very well made and simple to use. I bought two more for bikes that I now own ...

Fits my 2018 Crosstrek
I installed this (M16x1.5x12mm) on my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. Some other reviews have written that the crush washer on this is no good and results in a slow leak. I think they were using a different size on a different engine or didn't properly torque their valve: no slow leak here. This valve is smaller, has an internal mechanism, and a lower exposed profile than the Fumoto valve; that makes it easier to install and less susceptible to accidentally opening or being damaged by road debris. For those three reasons, I think this is worth the extra $10 (only $5 if you buy the Fumoto hose to give it identical performance to this part)To me, the best part of this is given how easy the valve's action is, how long my arms are, and the fact that the oil filter is on top of the Crosstrek's engine, I don't have to lift my car to change my oil. How awesome is that?

Works on a BMW F10
First off, the seller, KFE Brake Systems, is excellent. They did not ship the product until I confirmed it is the absolute match for the vehicle when checked with their database. That got me thinking because the BMW F10, with a plastic oil pan, does not list any matching drain plugs except to use the plastic plug that typically comes with the oil filter.Well, this thing works. The M24x1.5x1.2mm is a perfect match. I use the O-ring that comes with the filter and torqued the plug to 8 Nm. So far, it is holding very well. I do not have to unscrew the original plug that is tricky to torque anymore. I'll just use my hand for the oil change.Next step is to try to drain the oil without lifting up the vehicle. That is an update for next time.

So far so good
Using for husqvarna 24 hp Briggs and Stratton riding mower. The plastic drain valve meant to be used is extremely flawed, I was looking for alternatives and came across this. Similar concept to what Briggs was trying to accomplish, however this is meant to last. Installed with ease, and will update after first oil change if there are any issues, but when I was putting on I did a dry attachment with tube meant to drain oil and it was simple to attach and detach, so I don’t see any issues there.

Better than a Fumoto.
This is a great product. I vastly prefer it over the Fumoto. The only thing the Fumoto has over this is that you can still drain the Fumoto if you lose the tube. The Stahlbus does require you to not be an idiot and lose the drain tube you've affixed the drain piece to, but I am quite sure if you absolutely HAD to drain your oil and lost the drain piece you could use some needle nose pliers to flip the internal valve, but really, at that point, you should probably just pull the whole Stahlbus assembly with a socket.I prefer the Stahlbus as it is a bit smaller and doesn't collect road debris on the valve itself as it is covered by the cap. The Fumoto is a bit more "open" and can catch grime on the mouth and the lever. Both are great products, but I think the Stalhbus is just a bit better in my opinion. Fit perfectly on my 2017 Forester.
