An important read for healers
I have read only the first 100 or so pages since the arrival of the book, but the insights it exposes to you are profound, and will help you greatly. The Chakra system has been explained succinctlu, and Anodea gives comparative explanations for each system. Overall, the book is easy to navigate, read, and absorb, while the content is worth stopping to absorb and collect what you have read.

Holistic Approach to wellness
For anyone with interest in psychology and well being. Good insight into chakras from a more realistic point of view that can easily be adapted to find your possible weak points and work on it. Not a book to finish off in a go but to absorb information slowly.

Being one myself, I highly recommend this book to psychology enthusiasts, and to everybody else who’s interested in knowing why are people the way they are.

I love talking about books which: ✓Am about to read ✓Am going to read ✓I will never readThere's so much confession in these conversations that I almost love it. Baring inhibitions and talking about what you would love to read- regardless of the feeling of uncertainty! 😁authority Anodea Judith brought a fresh approach to the yoga-based Eastern chakra system, adapting it to the Western framework of Jungian psychology, somatic therapy, childhood developmental theory, and metaphysics and applying the chakra system to important modern social realities and issues such as addiction, codependence, family dynamics, sexuality, and personal empowerment.Red flag I heard when researching on this rather research based book with a fountain of knowledge!-- Unfortunately, entirely too much of this book was geared toward the therapist working with clients.I raised my eyebrows but still gave in and lost a kidney! Like I really wanted to have a hardcover! But alas, had to do with the paperback which has very tiny font and information overload. Reads like a concept notes at times... Have started this book alongside two others. ... Let's see how much this captivates me. Somehow with this book, I can't read it in one sitting... It's overwhelming! Even for me 😅😝For now, I am interested in reading about different perceptions as I am quite sorted. Plus the chakras interest the hell out of me! The main thrust of the book is that we experience various life traumas at different stages, and they affect corresponding chakras, creating deficiencies or excesses in how we channel energy (cope). Most importantly she gives concrete strategies for healing each chakra and therefore, connecting to our highest spiritual purpose.... Shall we? 🍀
