LamsonSharp Stainless Steel Pizza Rocker Knife

I have used this knife for slicing up at least a couple dozen 10 inch frozen type pizzas since it arrived. I do not believe I will ever go back to using my wheel type pizza cutter. The LamsonSharp knife is easier to use and easier to clean up. The pizza slices are cut cleaner with the knife and there is less cheese mess in terms of the cheese sticking to the cutter. Also, the slices tend to stay separate from each other better, with less cheese re-fusion between the cut slices. Of course, with any cutting technique it is best to let the pizza cool for a minute or two before cutting it to lessen the flowing, stringy cheese problem. I intend to buy at least one more of these knives because there have been times when I want to cut a fresh cooked pizza and my Lamsonsharp knife is still unwashed in the dishwasher after using it a day, or even a few hours, before.

This was not the extra large size I thought it would be, but its still a good pizza rocker. I will be buying a larger one but plan to keep this for use on smaller pizzas, paninis, quesadillas etc.

Well made and extra sharp. I love using this rocker to cut pizzas, but it was smaller than I expected. I did not look for the size when I purchased, I just expected it to be large like the ones you use in pizza shops. Still a great product that also looks great.

I like this product very much. It is sharp and cuts well. I will never go back to a rolling cutter again.The only problems are1. It is difficult to store. There should be holes in it, or some type of sheath or stand.2. It is a little small. It is advertised as a 14 inch blade, but is actually a 13.5 inch blade. This is the best alternative I could find, given that the next size up is a 20 inch, which is too big. A 16 inch blade would be PERFECT.

We just received this product (after 1 month on back order).The product is described on LamsonSharp's website as having NSF certification. On Amazon the description is slightly different, stating that the handles are made of "NSF certified materials."This does not make the product itself NSF Certified. There are 54 such products listed on LamsonSharp.com.The exposed metal at the top, between the two handles, has a very sharp edge. In a production environment there's great potential for injuries to employees, product spoilage (blood on the food!), and therefore even greater risks to consumers.I don't like writing a review like this - but I do find this particular situation both disturbing and irritating. A company this old and experienced either A) KNOWS they're cutting corners by not grinding off the edge and doesn't care about your safety in order to save a few cents; or B) Has become incompetent and deserves a shake up. **Also should DEFINITELY know what "NSF Certified" means. Every legitimate operator of food businesses in the USA absolutely knows. There's simply no excuse for the company not knowing (why use "NSF" in the marketing?). I'm left with no way to believe it's an unintentional oversight.A large mezzaluna is probably a safer design, whether or not you're in a restaurant environment.

Before we bought this, we read a negative customer review that said something to the effect of "this is really sharp and it has no shield." We laughed at how ridiculous that sounded--who would complain that a knife is too sharp? And why would it come with a protective shield?Then we got it in the mail. Holy cow. This thing looks like it was created by the Kill Bill prop master. Which would almost be cool, except that it's too big to fit into a drawer and too sinister for our knife magnet wall thingy. If we didn't have a toddler in the house, maybe I'd feel differently, but as it is, all I could see was major accidents and blood everywhere.All of which turned out to be moot, because one of the handles fell off before we ever even used it. So after all that, I'm not even sure whether it effectively cuts pizza (though I imagine it does--frankly, I'm not sure if there is anything in the world it would fail to cut, except, perhaps, a diamond...)If you don't have kids in the house and like the idea of filling your kitchen with sharp, semi-sinister objects, then by all means--this is the pizza knife for you. I'm sure we could have glued the handle back on easily enough...

I've always wanted a pizza slicer like the ones you see used in pizza parlors. Our old wheel type cutter broke and I was looking for a replacement. I have used other lamsonsharp products in the past and always found them to be well made reliable products. This pizza cutter was no exception. My wife and I love it. We would never go back to the old wheel cutter. This unit, while not as small as a wheel cutter, cuts pizza and sandwiches like a knife thru soft butter. It's also much easier to clean in my opinion.

I have purchased numerous pizza cutters over the years and they have always not lived up to their hype. I was hesitant about buying this Pizza Rocker as I have had not luck over the years. I the hand held small cutters the pizza would slide around and the toppings would end up on the wheel. I always had to bring a knife to complete the job. The Lamson Sharp Stainless Steel Pizza Rocker Knife made an very easy and fast way to cut my pizzas. I love it and highly recommend it to anyone.

I wish I could have found this 2 inches bigger but no luck. The edge seemed a little unfinished but now that I have used/washed it a few times it seems better. It cuts pizza much much better than a knife or rolling blade.
