I Am a Hero Omnibus Volume 7 Paperback – August 14, 2018

This really great anti-Zombie epic continues its odd, sometimes grotesque, march forward in this volume. I love this series, and have since I first discovered it. It is unique in two respects: First, it's hero is not initially any kind of a hero anyone could recognize, and second, it goes against the usual practice of Japanese popular fiction of downplaying gunplay. Indeed, in most manga if a gun shows up at all, everyone is amazed that it's there at all, and often the mangaka demonstrates that he doesn't really know how to draw one accurately!But here this unheroic hero and his atypical weapon together create an image of such raging individualistic triumph that it amazes me. This story couldn't have been written in the USA because our conventions wouldn't have permitted the hero to initially be such a weak figure. And because of the presence of the shotgun (lovingly drawn in detail!), and the relentless focus on Hideo's bravery and coolness under pressure, I wouldn't have thought the manga could have come out of unindividualistic Japan either.Kudos to Kengo Hanzawa for creating this unique work. And for great drawing as well. As I read all these MANY pages of clearly drawn characters, landscape, and passionately expressive faces, all I can do is take my hat off to this makgaka. I hope all the volumes of this massive work sell well everywhere it's published, and Kengo Hanazawa makes a fortune off it!

Loved this volume. Glad to have it in AMAZING condition. Said very good but it’s in new condition!

It’s in pretty good condition, no dents I can see. The pages do look yellow to a certain degree a splotch of red ink on the bottom book.

Came in the same condition it said it would. Very satisfied

Like the book very much. Can’t wait for the next vol
