Interesting, but not what I was looking for. I wanted to know more about the characters associated with the masks!

Too many grainy black and white photos, not enough color images.

All the pictures are in black and white.

fairly high amount of illustrations not much on the substance of the masks which would be difficult because of the great number of masks illustrated

not what i ecpected , its like a musuem index with black and white photos, some intersting masks, not inspiring as the cover.

Don't let the cover fool you. The cheap, pale, grey B&W photographs look to be photocopies made from photocopies made from photocopies. Poor quality from cover to cover and only a bit of text. Truly horrible.

This book is very good, it has a very large number of masks. The fact that the book is made from actual photos of real masks is incredible.Recommend if you like japanese masks.

Ouvrage très instructif, et très bien illustré, qui donne un bon panorama des différents types de masques noh fabriqués depuis le 16e siècle, et précise leur utilisation et leur classification avec différentes typologies. Très intéressant

Einwandfreier Zustand; sehr interessanter, ausführlicher Inhalt: Einführung in das japanische Nô-Theater in Text und einer Vielzahl guter, abgebildeter Nô-Masken. sehr empfehlenswert, besonders für den Maskensammler.
