In all honestly I wasn’t sure what to make of this. I have purchased the cheap $10-$15 dollar versions that seem to work to some degree. When I saw this one and saw the much higher price I was skeptical. I must say I am very pleased. The sensitivity control works well. And after several tests around the home, I am very happy with this and feel it is well made and dependable. I am a pleased buyer.

Got this for Christmas and initially thought this electronic equipment was well built and properly operating. Charged the device and it seemed to operate appropriately with the sensitivity dial responsive. A few days later the device was not responsive and was at full value without any sensitivity. Reported to Amazon that the device was defective and Amazon said they will work on replacement. This was a week ago. No response yet. I will update this when I have a response.

Works as described. But when searching for signal source I think it is best to hold it in a horizontal position with the front of unit facing you like normal. When the antenna is vertical the signal strength changes and that complicates finding the source. I deducted 1 star because the on/off button fell off 1st time out off the box.

It sounds as effective. It doesn't have an option to silence detection while searching, reason for low scoring. Instructions, for me didn't make sense.

It doesn't work. I put my cellphone next to it, it wont even give me a signal or beeping sound.

Works fine. Instructions are a big goofy due to translation but close enough. Tested at home so its ready for future hotel room use

If I could give it zero stars, then I would. (My question is "Who gave it all the high ratings?")In short - IT'S GARBAGE. SAVE YOUR MONEY.It does look nice. It is metal with plastic buttons, but in my opinion, it is Garbage.We tried it on several microphones, cell phones, desk phones, stereo speakers (using various levels of sensitivity) and we got either nothing, or the sense of movement of the device caused it to react.WE Gave it to our 2 year old niece as a toy. She now thinks she has a cell phone.

Was exactly as described but I needed something for outdoors. Very quality made even though it didn’t help me much. Good product.
