Good Product and Solution
I'm a DIY'er. I've tried to use plastic and metal corner bead. While both are solid solutions, I have always struggled with the finishing process of mudding them in. This product works for both inside and outside corners. It's very easy to apply and, for me, to finish. All of my corenrs were clean and sharp after two applications of drywall compound. For outside corners, this probably does not have the impact strength of plastic or metal corner bead. If you have areas that are more subject to abuse, this may not hold up as well over time. That's an assumption on my part andt not based on actual experience. Overall, I really like this product as a means of finishing corners. I used it in a lot of places to finish rough drywall corners on a recent renovation project and it was easy to use, quick to finish, and produced excellent results in the end.

Great for a soffit
I bought this for inside corners on a 30 foot soffit I built in my daylight basement. It has some off angles and this seemed like a fitting product for the application. At the time I'd only finished 3 rooms and knew my inside corner finishing needed improvement. Pros: It made truly straight lines and finishing wall to ceiling parts was easy. It made off and difficult hangs turn out perfectly because it doesn't shrink up with mud like paper tape does along the edges with larger gaps. I had an angle that was 140 degrees with a wide hang and it looks perfect. Cons: It takes longer to apply than paper tape in a banjo. I go through just under a full box in a regular 10x12 room. If you're using all purpose mud it shrinks back from the thick edges and holes along the tape so a coat is needed after the tape is set to blend it to the wall. It's really just a skim coat though with minimal sanding. The soffit looks great and and I'd use this product again. Since then I've learned to mud inside corners better but I'd use this for wide or difficult hangs, definitely for a soffit!

Works well, wouldn’t waste money on regular paper drywall tape
I had a coffered ceiling to work with and no trim for the drywall to be hidden behind, so my 90-degree angles needed to be smooth. I ordered this after having been frustrated with metal corner bead and paper tape. It’s great stuff for smooth and durable corners. Lowe’s has a slightly different product and manufacturer which I also like, but it’s narrower and not as heavy duty. Pros: 1. It has measurements. 2. Durable. 3. Relatively easy to apply. 4. Cheaper and easier to transport than corner bead. Very minor Cons: 1. The thickness can be a pro or a con—it requires more mud/joint compound to cover the edge as it is slightly thick than other alternatives.

Throw away the cheap paper tape!! This stuff rocks!
A little pricey and still needs some good wet mud to stick to the drywall, but.....this stuff is awesome. Makes beautiful inside and outside corners and holds its shape after you bend it. The mud and paint sticks to it beautifully and I will never use metal or plastic corners again unless I am truly worried about dings. It will dent easier then metal on finished walls. My inside ceiling corners ended up with some bad gaps because my walls weren’t all square and my hanging wasn’t the best, but these made perfect corners and made it look flawless!

Works amazing as long as the instructions are followed
This is a great product for making inside corners. I can’t say it looks better than using regular paper tape. But it is much easier to use. I have to say that the negative reviews have to do with adhesion. You cannot use this like regular paper tape. You have to crease it and then make sure the angle is obtuse before putting it on an inside corner. That way it pushes out into the corner versus trying to pull away from the mud. I don’t know if that was the other reviewer’s problem. I have had zero issues with adhesion.

Not fun
Maybe better suited for a Pro. After installing per instructions included, and videos on YouTube I constantly find small areas where the edge of tape lifts out of mud, and adding more mud doesn't fix it. Wish the demos showed you how to deal with this, or explain why it happens.

Must have for odd angles
Too bad Home Depot does not carry this item in their stores anymore. I used it years ago with great results. On a recent project, I used high quality mesh tape on 24 inside corners 165 degrees - 10’ tall... all showed signs of cracking over a 2-6 months. I redid all of the corners with this tape. So easy and it is super strong. You cannot rip this stuff with your hands... you have to use scissors or a utility knife.

Works well on I side and outside corners, regardless of the degree of angle. The amount of mud you put before placing the strip is very important in keeping it secure - but that is about the only finicky part of the process. There are a lot of odd angles in the room I'm doing but you can cut the tape with regular scissors. It does not flake or become damaged when sanding either. Highly recommend!

No screws needed, comes on a roll so doesn't take up any room on the project site. doesn't get damaged like rigid pieces and you can use this on inside or outside corners. Great product for the DIY'er!
