Body-Solid (GSRM40) Adjustable Seated Row Machine for LAT and Back Workouts, Commercial and Home Gym Equipment

After having this back /lat machine for about 3 months now I can tell you to not hesitate in buying it! I have been a competitive bodybuilder and have worked out for 20 years on some of the finest equipment on the planet.; This piece of equipment is good enough to call it among one of the best rowing machines I have ever used. Ergonomically it fits the range of the exercise absolutely perfect. Having the grip position adjustment for custom grip styles is fantastic. The only real disadvantages of this machines the width and space it takes up primary in the front of the machine and if you have space tightness in your home gym like I do and 2 you have to use both arms at once without the option of using one arm at a time. I also like the simplicity of the machine with only one pivot point no bearings and super quiet. In my mind a good piece of equipment is 1 simple in design, 2 built like a tank, and 3 effective trains the targeted muscles through it's range of motion. When using this machine you get all that and a true feel of free weight with the safety of a machine. It is the best back machine I have used up to date and was happy to add it to my home gym! I highly recommend it!

Pleased with this purchase. Quality construction for the price. Gives a nice back stretch and burn. Very comfortable. Preserves my lower back while allowing a good mid/upper back workout. Would definitely recommend for home use or small office gym.

THIS IS THE THIRD PIECE OF BODYSOLID EQUIPMENT THAT I HAVE BOUGHT. BOUGHT A PLATE LOADED LAT PULL DOWN ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO IT STILL WORKS ITS OK. I HAD DOUBT ABOUT THIS MACHINE. I REALLY SHOULD HAVE LEFT IT WHERE IT WAS. THIS MACHINE COULD BE A GOOD PIECE BUT. THEY HAVE THE FOOT PLACEMENT IN THE BACK. IT NEEDS A FOOT PLATE IN THE FRONT!!!!!! ALSO ONCE YOU LOAD THE MACHINE UP AROUND UR BODY WEIGHT OR OVER UR BODY WEIGHT IT DOESNT HAVE PADDING IN THE FRONT TO KEEP YOU SEATED. ALSO THE MACHINE IS VERY LIGHT. THE SEAT IS TO THIN. I ONLY WEIGH ABOUT 215 AN THE SEAT PANCAKES WHEN YOU SAT ON IT. THIS WOULD BE SOMETHING YOU WOULD BUY YOUR KID TO PLAY WITH. REALLY WISH I WOULD HAVE SAVED THE MONEY SPENT ON THIS FOR SOMETHING OF BETTER QUALITY. ALSO BOUGHT A BODY SOLID FUNCTIONAL TRAINER ITS TO SHORT. PAID OVER 2 GRAND SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT SOMETHING ELSE. I WONT BE BUYING ANYMORE BODY SOLID PRODUCTS :(

The left handle has to be adjusted where you'll need to push it back in or it'll come off. I use a mallet to hammer it back in place. You'll see the sealed ball bearing that gives it the movement. Wouldn't purchase again, I've had for over 4 years, maybe they fixed the issue.

I ordered this for my home gym and thought it was a great product. It was very well made when assembled and most importantly the range of motion feels good. It's not muscle head grade by any means but if you're under 200 lbs it's sturdy enough to handle whatever you're capable of. Commercial equipment needs to be really heavy duty because of the constant pounding but this unit was surpringly well designed for the money. Assembly for me was easy because I am a contractor by trade so I have a socket set and ajustable wrench whis is all you need or a minimum of two ajustable wrenches would get it done. The instructions are basic showing the parts list and another picture showing the unit and where the parts are located. It took me an hr. or so with no mistakes but everything fit well and all of the parts were there packed well and organized. I bought it through amazon as the seller and not some basement wholsaler to insure I wasn't getting a returned item by chance and not have the customer support. Very good product for the money.

Really fast shipping said it was supposed to get here in 10 days but arrived on the 5th day. The quality is really good and extremely simple to set up. It only took me and my father 2 hours & 30mins to set up. Btw it does not come with its own tools so make sure you have some ready.

Works ok, expensive for machine that only works one body part. Did not come with any directions for installation. Lowered rating to 2 after using it for a couple days, very unstable and only has 1" bar instead of 2".

This is a great rower for the price. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now. It has good range of motion and is sturdy enough. Overall, I’m happy with this machine and do not regret my purchase. If you’re expecting professional grade bodybuilding equipment from the gym, this isn't for you. It’s a great additional to my home gym and my upper back is gonna be jacked!

I really like this machine. It doesn’t take up much space and it’s not super heavy. I rated it a 3 because when we received the box it was poorly shipped. There were bolts loose in the box and random twist ties everywhere plus the parts were super dirty! One piece was only saudered and not painted to match the rest of the pieces.
