It worked for me!
So when I went to my stylist on Tuesday I asked for red and blue lowlights along with blonde highlights. Her assistant did it and in the end you couldn’t see a spec of blonde and very little blue. It looked as if I dyed my whole her cherry red.So the next day after excuses and no attempt to set up an appt to fix what her assistant screwed up anytime soon. I started washing it with dawn dish detergent. Then I used a vitamin c and dandruff shampoo mix. When that didn’t get all the red out,so, I bought this kit. The smell isn’t bad. It smells like curl perm solution. So I put it in left it on for the recommended 20 minutes washed it multiple times after for 20 minutes then let it dry in a towel. NO RED LEFT!! I was so thrilled.

Works Great but the Smell Isn't the Greatest
The Facts:- My hair had been dyed a couple months ago with 2 boxes of got2b's metallic mermaid green semi-perm hair dye. It had slightly faded but as you can see in the pic (taken a couple days before dye removal) it was very much a teal color when I used this product.- I am Filipino and German by ethnicity, if that makes a difference to you in hair dye. The texture of it is pretty soft but not as soft as someone 100% European. My hair is naturally very dark brown (see eyebrows) but had been bleached professionally for a different color that faded out before I dyed it mermaid green.- My hair is pretty long, to lower-middle of my back and also very very thick. Think 6 hours to professionally bleach and dye thick. I also have naturally greasy hair and wash it (with color-safe products) every 2-3 days with a lot of conditioner so it doesn't become noticibly greasy and feel gross.- I used 1 box of this product to remove the dye.The Review:I used this product because I was ready for a new color and wanted to go a shade that a box dye would show up on, due to how dark the mermaid green shade I currently had. At first, I was worried because it said it said it doesn't work on some types of dyes, and I didn't know if my last one was one of them. I was also worried because I only thought to get one box and I have very long and thick hair.Thankfully, the product worked great for me! As you can see in the picture, my hair returned to the bleached color it was before. There are a few spots I missed and you can see a little bit of the old color, but it wasn't very noticible, at least not enough that I didn't want to go out. I might have benefitted from a second box, but I don't feel the need to buy one. I haven't re-dyed my hair yet, even tho the box says you can, because I still want my hair to rest a little. The box comes with the gloves as well as a plastic "cap" and, of course, the formula and applicator. The instructions are clear- put on gloves, mix the formula in the applicator bottle, apply generously to hair, wait around while your hair is in the plastic cap and the chemicals do your thing, jump in the shower and shampoo thoroughly, rinse for a boring 20 minutes, then shampoo again, and finally rinse a final 5 minutes.I followed the instructions for the most part, but admittedly got out of the shower about 5 minutes early and also heavily conditioned my hair. Do this at your own risk, but the water got ice cold for me and I couldn't take it anymore. The consistency of the stuff wasn't what I was expecting, not like the consistency of box dye. Rather, it's rather runny and watery, so when applying, I recommend being over a sink. And then there's the smell. I understand that these are chemicals here and there's only so much you can do about it, but the smell is not pleasant. I can only compare it to being in a salon when someone is getting a perm but the salon is also trying to mask the smell with some banana-scented candles. It wasn't nausea-inducing, but it did take some getting used to. Then again, I also grew up on a farm and was subjected to the smells of chicken coops and septic tank whenever it rained too much, so I'm not sure I'm the best judge. Thankfully, the smell does not stick to YOU. However, it DOES stick to the bathroom. It's been 4 days and it still reeks of it.Any Advice I Have Regarding the Product:- Plan out what you're going to do for 20 minutes in the shower. If you're not depressed, standing motionless in a shower for 20 minutes is not fun. If you are depressed, please seek professional care. I tried to pass the time by shaving my legs, but that wasn't enough. My friend puts her phone in a ziplock bag and brings it with her. Again, do this at your own risk.- Heavily condition your hair afterward. Your hair will thank you.- Try your best not to spill any on the floor and throw out the used applicator asap to help prevent lingering smells.

Great product!
Going to post before coloring after coloring and then after color oops. The reviews were mixed but I took a chance. Firstly, the smell was a bit smelly, but no smellier than a perm, so I used a wax melter and couldn’t even smell it in my room after, day 2 and my room and hair smells good as new. I had no itchiness or pain or tingling on my head or areas it touched. I applied and left it in for 20 minutes as advised, used the gloves, it came out nice and even though my hair had lightened kind of patchy after black box dye. I was previously platinum, dyed it black box dye, and am now at a kind of natural copper color. I’m pleased. I have medium length (below the shoulders) hair, and it’s quite thick so I used two boxes and it was a perfect amount, I left it on for 20 minutes after it was fully saturated. I rinsed and shampood for 20 minutes as advised then took a shower shortly after and shampood again then conditioned. After that I was very pleased with the results and would use again opposed to bleaching.

So I see a lot of negative comments about this product but what people lack to comprehend is it literally says on the box this is not for dyes such as purple, blues etc. I thinks it maybe referring to bright colors like splat and artic fox etc. I have blonde hair I wanted to try something different so I boxed dyed it black cherry ( lots of reds and purple hues) it turned out like dookie. Just bleh. Especially after washing it, it was like grayish. So I went searching online and eventually used Google AI to tell me the correct color remover to use ( took a photo of my hair and boom it says to use this specific type of color oops. I was very hesitant bc I had healthy hair and didnt wanna damage it. So I prepped everything and my husband applied it ( the smell does suck but not as bad, almost like a perm if not a bit stronger) as soon as it hit my hair it turned blonde. I did do a test strip of my hair prior and timed it so I knew how long it would take to process. 3 mins ...3 mins but I did do the full 20 to make sure it did its job and boy did it. My roots everything poof back to blonde. Love this stuff. Yes I did a hair mask also and condition the shit out of my hair bc it does leave it dehydrated. But honestly I ain't even mad it worked like a charm and ill be buying again.
