The shampoo smells like a herbal rosemary and baby talc scent. It's nice. There's a little mesh bag with string closure that makes it convenient to hang after use and easy to help you make the lather. I barely added a small amount of water and it lathered quite a bit. I have long fine hair and it was enough for my whole head with one pass through. It left my hair clean, no heavy remaining sensation. The conditioner does not lather as much but it does cover well. I wet the bar and wiped the bar from roots to tips of my hair and worked well. The best way to explain it, when I applied the conditioner, felt like it sealed my hair. Once my hair dried, it had lift and feels very silky. It does not have a heavy scent at all so don't expect your hair to be perfumy afterwards. The bars are about 2.5 inches wide and don't seem very large but seeing the amount of lather makes it seem very likely to last. I am hoping it will be effective in promoting hair growth (we will see) but so far it does deliver in the actual basic use.

I love lavender, and this bar shampoo caught my eye. I am sure glad it did. This is my second shampoo bar, and the first just doesn't lather up, while these have been awesome! Washing with the bar leaves my hair clean, soft, not greasy, and smelling nice, although the scent doesn't linger long, which is fine since scents can cause issues with others around us. The bar is smaller than I expected, but because it hasn't dissolved quickly, it is lasting a long time. It works just as easily as bottled shampoo without the added water.

Alot more lather than i expected - especially with the lather bag they came with. Can't really say my hair health has improved or gone down - as my hair is VERY healthy as in i cut it once a year to get half an inch of split ends off. They smell sooo lovely - put both the lavender and rosemary bars in the same bag and use them at the same time. I live in the desert, but am from the Midwest and I can say these definitely help keep my hair from drying out.... so i guess you could say they improved my hair health. My hair type is 2C and my curls are soft and "less" frizzy - I think. Bars dont weigh much.

I have used bar shampoo before and I like it. This one has a mild lavender scent. It lathers really well and rinses out clean! I will use this as my main shampoo now!
