Very nice dough mat
I like the mat - it works well for rolling out dough. I have used it for cookies, rolls, pies, pizza, and other items. I like the printed circles, which are great for rolling out pizza and pie dough. After I'm done, I take it outside and give it a couple of shakes to send out the excess flour. It once got dirty due to spilling some oil on it, so we had to wash it. It came out clean and did not fray at the edges.All-in-all, this works exactly like I had hoped. So rare these days.

Pastry rolling cloth and rolling pin sock
I have been baking for 50 years and i have no idea how i missed these. I have tried several plastic types and never really been happy. Read about them in a cook book i purchased and looked into them, decided "Why not?"and wow....sooo much better. Needs less flour while rolling so pastry does not get to dense..A little trying to get used to the first minute or two but over all, love them and highly recommend. Only gave it a 4 because it does get a bit of buildup in the centre.

Very good but pricey
In general, Ateco's stuff is good but pricey. These cloths aren't the exception. They are sturdier than the competition, but I'm not sure if sturdy enough to warrant the price difference. If you want to use them constantly, then by all means go for them. But for occasional use the cheaper alternative would suffice.

Just like my mom’s!
It works great and makes baking so much easier. It is hard to keep in one place but I don’t know what you would do to fix that.

Once you have used this, you will not go without!
This is an excellent quality pastry cloth in comparison to any others on the market today. (I add 'today; because there was a time when these clothes where made using the same technique used in hemming jeans! A true rolled hem, this is not the case any longer. Only a serger is used) It is a thick and heavy enough to hold enough flour within the fibers to make rolling even the softest, stickiest dough a breeze and without adding additional flour to your dough so you can produce a tender crust every time. I also like that it has measurement markings on the cloth so you can easily gauge not only correct size but help you to roll a nice round crust every time. The rolling pin cover fit my large French rolling pin nicely, even a bit 'leftover' on each end. Clean up is extremely easy; shake out as much flour as you can and then hand wash in warm/hot water with dish soap (this can cut the butter/shortening better than laundry detergent) and rinse until water running is clean and clear. I allow mine to dry flat on top of an absorbent towel and then store rolled around my rolling pin. If you use it frequently you can simply roll or fold your cloth up without washing and place in zip style bag and store in freezer. This would also help in keeping dough nice and cold while rolling dough in the summer time or a hot kitchen. Or if you have the freezer room roll it around your rolling pin and then wrap the whole "package" in plastic wrap and freeze until ready to use. This would be ideal as you would not have to re-flour every time, all utensils/tools will be cold when you go to use them and you will not have any creases due to folds in your cloth and your cloth and cover will last longer due to less washings. As long as you are freezing it as soon as you finish using it and then removing it only when you are ready to use it, you should not have to worry about microbial growth due to time and temperature limits. Ateco is a quality brand that I have used for many years and actually have pastry bags from this company that I have used and washed for more than 20 years in a professional environment. I expect the same performance from this pastry cloth and cover.

The ease of use and measurement for your pie pan
I loved it. This is my first "Pastry Canvas" and it does make a difference. I most recently used it for my Christmas pies. The only problem was - as I rolled dough out - the cloth kept moving. So, I took some simple scotch tape and taped two of the corners and walah - pie pastry was rolled out! So glad I purchsed this.

it is loose on a 2.5 inch diameter rolling pin
These are handy when rolling dough, don't have to use much flour to prevent sticking and they are washable. I was disappointed in how loose it was on my 2.5 inch diameter rolling pin. ( I never saw anything online regard diameter, only length.) I washed it in hot water, hoping to shrink it, but it didn't help. It's ade of stockinette material.

Ateco pastry Cloth
Excellent Good and thick. Just want I was looking for to replace one handed down from my mom. Believe this will last for years as well. So much better than silicone.

Best pastry cloth - dough does not stick to it
Best pastry cloth - dough does not stick to it, use a smidgen of flour only if necessary. The rolling pin sock is old school but works the best. You never have to flour it. Just pull the sock over the rolling pin and away you go. The old school ways of our grandmothers are the best. Had a plastic pastry thingy but threw it out. You can wash your cloth and sock after a few uses in mild detergent. I roll my cloth over my socked rolling pin and store.

Exactly as expected! Performs well
I am very pleased. The cloth holds a lot of flour and the pastry rolled beautifully. I also kneaded dough on it and that worked well also. The circles and measuring lines, which do show up through the flour, were very helpful for getting my pie crust the correct size and the rectangle of dough for cinnamon buns the correct size. A little larger might have been nice but the price was right on this size and it is sufficient.
