Through the Rainbow: A Waldorf Birthday Story for Children

Very beautiful book. My daughter who turned 5 recently loved it as we loved reading it. We enjoyed the watercolor illustrations, and how you can add pictures of them at the end. Just all around a wonderful birthday book. Definitely recommend.

My daughter (a Waldorf enthusiast) bought this for her son. I was so taken by its lovely story that I bought it to celebrate my great-nephew's first birthday. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition!

I was looking for a few ways to enhance our family’s birthday celebrations this year and came across this book. This is basically the same version of the birthday story told in early childhood classes at our local Waldorf School. The story is gentle and sweet and the images are lovely, watercolor illustrations right in step with what you’d expect. We are not religious and amended the story in small ways, which was fine. I’m glad I bought this book, and my daughters will be delighted to hear this story retold on future birthdays at home and school.

I received this book a week before my sons’ birthday. It was absolutely beautiful. He loved reading it with me( the colours, words, story)We will be reading it every year before his birthday. It added a touch of magic to his birthday week.

I love the book. But the corner is dented looks like it got dropped slightly damaged. I’m really sad about that.

I love the story and the illustrations. The art is absolutely beautiful and dreamy. It really drew my son into the story. He enjoyed it and I loved reading it.

This book is so beautiful, in text and imagery. Must have for Waldorf birthday celebrations.

Rainbows are precious to many people in many ways being replete with over arching beauty, underpinning truths... positive and liberating messages... from the most outward to the eye, to the most inward delighting our Spiritual Hearts and perhaps this is the reason why Queen Elizabeth the 1st of England holds a Rainbow in her hand in a famous painting of her ? could it be a symbol of the universal belief as Dostoevsky put it that "Beauty will redeem the world" ?Well, whatever it means in that painting and to the many that have appreciated / understood it, beauty pervades this uplifting book - being a source of inspiration to not only the younger generation but to anyone who reads it - aright ! Buy and enjoy.

This was read at my daughters friends birthday and it made me so emotional I had to buy one to read at my daughters birthday too. It’s now a new family tradition.

This is a beautifully illustrated, sweet story, just like the Waldorf kindergarten birthday story that is told in classrooms. A real gem
