I ordered this to go with my daughter's homecoming dress. Some reviews stated that it is very heavy duty, and best suited for thick hair. That is exactly what my daughter's hair needs, so I ordered it and we are highly pleased with it. It matched very well, and held in her hair the entire night. I twisted her sides to the back, joined together with a small plastic hair band, and put this clip over it. It will likely be too heavy for thin hair, but great for those with thick, curly hair. I'm sure she will wear this again sometime.

While it looks as nice as you could hope for with the price, it’s not well-made. It comes apart into multiple pieces, making it difficult to put on my yourself. Additionally, I wore it with a half-up half-down style for prom night, and it didn’t hold the ponytail very well and had to be adjusted periodically.

Beautiful but heavy. Wrapped a rubber band on the inside clip of barrette and it no longer slides down so happy
