I fell in love with this basket the moment I saw it in a video but it really didn’t do it justice. If you’re on the fence about it, GET IT!!! This is a Christmas gift for my daughter. She recently moved to a home which gives her the opportunity to have a large garden. This hod will enable her to harvest lots of vegetables at one time. Can't wait to give it to her.

Purchased as a gift in the spring of 2013. Prior to receiving this basket she had been using a waxed cardboard carrier that was used to carry home small potted flowers from a nursery. The waxed cardboard affair met its demise after three faithful seasons. This hod was similar in size and shape to the flimsy one she had worn out. After a full season of frequent use this hod remains beautiful and solid. It is fully expected to last years and years with minimal care. She uses it to carry small hand tools, hold clippings and other landscaping detritus, store gloves between outings etc.. Very well worth the price.June 2022 Update...I just weighed this hod to answer a question posed by a prospective buyer. I can not believe we have been using it for nine years already! It is still fully functional and in perfect condition despite rigorous use in maintaining our 3 acre property. It still looks great too!

I liked that its very sturdily made to accommodate a heavy load of produce from the vegetable garden. I gave this as a gift and it was much appreciated.

Just what I was looking for: big enough to carry a lot of garden vegies and sturdily built with craftsmanlike care. Bonus: it's just plain pretty, at least to a gardener's eyes. The reason I chose this hod rather than a classic garden trug was because the coated wire basket allows you to rinse and drain your dirt-covered produce outdoors, rather than carrying all that mud into the house and leaving half of it on the kitchen counter. Not an inexpensive item, but well worth the price. I fully expect this product to last for years. Very happy with it.
