Excellent story for kids, with equally wonderful illustrations
A story can be as simple as “If you give a mouse a cookie” and still have learning value even for grownups. This simple story was written for 6-8 years kids and it is still an excellent bed-time story. Somehow when we consider recent events like Brexit and the problem of refugees world over, this story finds a new relevance. It is as simple as a children book can be, easy words, few characters, all things which would be recognizable for children and the success of this book resulted in the making of “If you give a mouse a…” series. Starting from one simple story for children it not only found fans among adults, today it is also used to teach psychological warfare.Kids would love this story because the main character a small child himself finds resonance in many children. They hate going over to meet relatives who ask uncomfortable questions. They do share a bit of edibles with new friends they make. And on the top of these all things, they have not learned to say no. They feel bad about denying small requests, like the ones which the mouse in the story makes. With this story they learn how one request moves to next and then to another one, creating a vicious circle, which is then impossible to get out of. Illustrations made by Felicia Bond are excellent and keep the children engaged in the story. It’s not too thick, just about forty pages, so it will end before children get bored. The best part about this book is that it doesn’t enforce a moral lesson. It simply tells a story and allows the readers to discuss what possible outcomes of the story might have been there. The cost in India is a bit steep and I hope the publishers would someday reconsider the pricing for this excellent story book.

excellent book
I am surprised by the negative review for this book. its one of my daughter's favorites : bright colorful pictures, logical sequencing .Probably one of the best children's picture books of all time. ideal for children 3 -4 years.

Not worthy of money
Not worthy of money . Don't buy this. Only pictures and few sentences. Also can't return this book due to policy . Better to watch cartoon series on Amazon Prime.
