Decent filter with some tricky assembling requirements
Bought the Tata Swach Cristella even after reading some negative reviews here because I needed to replace HUL PureIt which is now out of the market. It is definitely lighter than the PureIt and the body seems less sturdy. The design is also more DIY type. Received a properly packed product. Assembling it was not a very smooth process especially because the manual doesn't seem detailed enough. There was no flow to the lower chamber in the first round and when I took out the cartridge, I realised I had missed peeling off the small sticker on its bottom. In the second round once the water started reaching the lower chamber, there was leakage from the bottom. I had to keep tightening the tap even though it did not seem it would turn anymore. Once this was done, the leaking stop. The taste of the water seems fine. Will have to observe over the next few days if it works smoothly. Decent filter for the price it's available at, especially if the cartridge lasts as long as it promises to.

Good with some negative points.
It seems to do its job, though we cannot validate it.The outlet was leaking, despite following the guide. I had to use Teflon tape to stop the leakage. The spare top mesh filter and the cartridge bulb are very expensive though. I guess they get the profit from there. Speed is good. There is a syringe which should be used to clean the bulb periodically. But the syringe head does not fit over the bulb top hole. I searched and found there is a small plastic piece which should be placed between the syringe and the bulb hole. Unfortunately either I did not receive that plastic thingy or lost it. So I cannot use the syringe to clean it the bulb.

Discontinued UV/RO filter. 3-4 member family go for it.
I was using UV RO filter (Aquaguard, with annual maintenance appx 6000/yr) for last 7 years. What I realized , RO filters are wastage of water, and unhealthy. Very low TDS (often <60) are deficient in required daily minerals. And using municipality running water (for drinking) in TATA swatch is absolutely fine and risk free. Using it for last 2 months, with no issue(no water borne disease till date). One thing to remember, if your source water/running water is having TDS above 200, tata swatch/membrane /cande filters will not work fine(Almost all municipality running water is having TDS in the range of 100-120 appx). Having mental satisfaction of no wastage of water. All advanced (so called;, actually costly ;, both buying cost and annual maintenance cost of RO filters) filters are basically to create fear in your mind and promise unnecessary safety (which is not required ) for their business .

Source of Pure Water
Since I get municipal water supply, I do not use RO for drinking water purpose. Normally I boil water and used to filter it through Aquasure. There was a problem of cartridge replacement and therefore bought this unit. As per the product literature, I don't have to boil the water anymore. There is a pre-filter which removes any suspended solids. And the cartridge removes bacteria/organics and make the water suitable for drinking. Very low cost source for pure drinking water.Using this for the 1st time. Assembling the unit is very easy. So far, so good. I like the unit.

Convenient and easy to use.
It's very convenient for places where electricity and piped water lines are not available. It's all in one single filtration candle makes the product very convenient to use. If used with care it is a trouble free filter. Little attention is required during initial self assembly, however not difficult, but understanding each part and it's way of fitting is useful for trouble and error free assembly.
