I am preparing for CIVILS in India this book helped me a lot to know about scientific research happened at the time of Ummayad and Abbasid khalifat from 700AD to 1200AD.One of best books I have read ever. But the cost of this book should come down so that many people can buy this for affordable cost in India.

Great book. Yes ,it is about muslims scientists, mathematician, philosopher and muslims knowledge, that no one knows.

Amazing book, everyone should have it. This shows the real people who invested many of the science marvels, and it gives them due credit. Would recommend if have kids they'll know how many of todays science inventions were done and by whom. Nice to have in your collection and personal library.

Excellent book with colorful illustrations. Excellent quality print yet the font is very light. Dark font would be helpful for easy reading. Best gift to students and teachers.

I'm quite surprised to see no reviews here. This book is an amazing read. Considering the volume of information in here, I highly recommend the Hardback version. It looks and feels really high quality, which encourages one to keep reading from it. Kids cant put it down, and they love the pictures and feel of the pages too. After looking for many decent books on Islamic heritage, this is by far the best. Professor Salim Al-Hussani has done our Ummah a great service. I thank him wholeheartedly. If you want to learn about Islamic Civilization, this book is for you, regardless of age. Bonus is that the kids love it! May Allah (swt) reward you Brother Salim. Buy this book, you will not be disappointed. Hardback version is definitely worth the extra in my opinion. My best book purchase of the year. 10/10

This book contains a ton of knowledge in an enjoyable and easy to read format. It gives you a good detail of Muslims' diverse and rich history. The book contains good historical pictures and is beautifully illustrated. The author Salim al-Hassani did a great job by filling in this void. Would definitely recommend this especially for young Muslims looking to reflect on their history.

Le livre est très beau et en bon état. Quant au contenu, je dois avouer être très charmé par la civilisation musulmane. Que de génies de toutes les contrées sous l'égide de la religion (remarquons que les musulmans ont réussi à créer ce que personne n'avait fait et n'a toujours pas fait: englober plusieurs peuple sans frontières tout en préservant leur culture et croyance.). Les musulmans ont eu cette rapide faculté de s'engager dans la voie scientifique (il me semble que la Science tient une grande place dans l'islam) contrairement aux empires chrétiens qui ont attendu 15 siècles avant de s'y mettre, (ils auraient du briller avant) leur science reposant sur celle des musulmans. De nombreuses innovations dans tous les domaines et de nombreuses paternités de domaines qui ont permis au final à l'Europe de se développer. Il est extrêmement désolant de voir aujourd'hui le peuple musulman dans la décadence et l'ignorance. J'espère vraiment qu'ils auront leur Renaissance.

It's very refreshing to finally see a work of science and research giving due where it's worth. Muslim contribution to modern sciences and arts has so long been neglected and forgotten that our children have no idea who the real inventors and discoverers are of so many things we use today. Even names of scientists like "Ibn Sina" and "Al-Razi" have been mutated in the English language to "Avicenna" and "Razes", erasing the Arab identity of these great scientists. This book brings back to life a golden era in history - The Middle Ages - that is so very poorly named "The Dark Ages". During this era, scientists and inventors of all faiths living in the Muslim civilization made huge contributions in almost every field of science and art that have a life-altering impact on us today. This book is an eye-opener for both adults and children, and I really believe it should be part of every Middle and High School curriculum. Brilliant illustrations, carefully researched text, a wealth of knowledge. A must-have for every household. I purchased one for my family, and will definitely be giving copies of this book as gifts for some time to come.
