It works.
It fits, it's well made. BUT: the two top small screws from the original part were too long for this part. You will have to find shorter ones at a hardware store.

Hit a tree at 40mph, did not break
Well i gave this product the ultimate test by accidentally running into a tree with my slash 2x4 at 40mph....The A-arms bent, and the servo broke, but the bulkhead didn't even move. Very impressed. I recommend this product to anyone with a slash 2x4.

Broke after a month
Worked good for about a month, then the factory screws striped out. I'm going to try some self tappers like for metal.

Sweet!
I have paired this with the front aluminum lower arms and wheel hubs, and I honestly think this is the best purchase I've made. Having the whole front end aluminum (besides the bumper, body mount posts, and turnbuckles eyes) has lead to an amazing improvement in my slashes durability.I like Atomik RC alot and would recommend all of their slash products because I have bought almost all of them and have had no problems so far!

Use plastic bumpers
Great product but use plastic bumpers with this because if you use metal or aluminum bumpers you might bend the arm mount but if you use plastic bumpers and break them you will only have to replace the bumper and not take 20 minutes instead of 30 seconds. Mine did not come with the three nuts it shows in the picture.

After 2 runs the threads stripped out
My son broke the original on his traxxas so we thought the aluminum would be better. We put it together with extra machine screws (Not included /sold separately) and he did the first run. We checked for anything loose. Second run the front dropped and crashed. The 2 screws holding the tower together were tight but the 2 for the frame were stripped out. Luckily we had the other nuts and bolts there for the extra support.

Bends easily
I have purchased two of these, one for a Slash and the other for a Bandit. Installation is a straight-forward remove and replace except for the nylok nuts--they take patience and some kind of tool to hold them while tightening (I used a long, curved needle nose plier). The nylok nuts slide a bit so if your chassis is bent, perhaps this will give some wiggle room to align the a-arms but if your chassis is not bent, the sliding nyloks are inconvenient. This Front Lower Arm Mount (aka bulkhead) on my Slash has survived a lot of bashing and some time at the local track. The Bandit, driven by my young son, however has not survived very well. In around five hours of bashing and track time, his bulkhead is bent beyond use. My son crashes more than I do but at slower speeds.Between the hassle of installing and the bending, I think other aftermarket aluminum solutions should be better.
