Excellent starter book
My daughter is in the initial stage of learning to read. There are levels of books which should be followed in that order, as it gets more advanced with each. Starts with 4 words a page with related pictures. Some of the words are the same with only the last letter different to help them identify letters better and learn the difference better, like “Sam Sat” or “Mac has a bag and Mag”. Between the books some words like names keep popping up again, to test if the can identify the words or if they have just memorised it for that one book. Funny for kids where you can make a nice game out of it. We have been learning 1 book a week and my child is enjoying it.

Little expensive But serves the purpose
My son was at Grade I and was not attempting to read. When the other kids at his class was reading he was mentioning that he dont know to read. Though i encouraged him to learn, somehow he was mentioning that he dont know and he cant. Then after some research I came to know about the Bob books and decided to buy. I found it pricey and finally decided to give it a try. They are set of 12 small books and extremely simple. But when he finished the first book completely he was so proud that he could read and gained the confidence. He was reading next set of books to my mom and we encouraged him that he was able to read a full book all by himself and he was very happy. He finished the first set of books and I did bought next two sets as well :)Now he is still learning the complex words, but this Bob books helped him to get the confidence that he can read :)

Good one!
Such a good book for kids who start to read. It will be useful if your kids knows the sound of each letter. This has a collection of 12 books, and there is a intro of each letter that is used in the entire book. Small words and little story, definitely engages the kids to read on their own.

I am impressed
I wanted to develope my 4yr olds reading skills. When I was looking at you tube videos about it, I discovered Bob books. Luckily I was able to find it on Amazon but looking at the Price I was skeptical to Invest. Trusting the reviews I bought it.It comes in a neat blue box with a set of 12 thin books. Very simple illustration with Pics. It introduces small 3 letter words and progress with each book. It also has a small guideline tip on how to engage kids.Overall I am so happy with it. This box was delivered to me on Dec 27 and today Jan 30 he can read 10 of these books on his own. Please note that I did not hurry and hardlyjust spent 15 to 30 mins excluding all the holidays in between. Still there is good progress. But make sure your kid is already introduced to phonemes (check You tube)It's really good investment.

good & helpful book for beginners
This book is really good for kids above 3.5 years old. I bought this book late. Book includes simple 3-4 words. Very short sentence which a kid could easily read and understand. Short stories of 5-6 pages. Box includes 12 levels i.e 12 books. I am giving this review after 2 months. My daughter is 4 years old but she could now easily read these books on her own and now she loves reading. Wherever she finds a word she tries reading it eg. On paper or any wrapper or on her books. She starts jumping when she is able to read word correctly. Thank you for this lovely book. Really helpful

The Phonics Phenomenon That Started It All!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ 4.9 out of 5 starsThe Phonics Phenomenon That Started It All!"Bob Books Boxed Set 1: Beginning Readers" is the timeless classic that has launched millions of young readers on their journey to literacy. This iconic phonics-based set is a true gem, designed with simplicity and effectiveness in mind, ensuring that even the littlest bookworms can proudly declare, “I read the whole book!”®One of the standout features of this set is its incredible ability to cater to the needs of brand-new readers. Many early reader books throw in words that can stump a child who's just grasping the sounds of the alphabet. Not these books! With the first story containing just four letter sounds (M, A, T, and S), children can dive right in and finish a whole book, giving their confidence a major boost. The joy on a child’s face when they read their first book all by themselves is absolutely priceless.Inside the box, you’ll find 12 easy-to-read, hilariously entertaining small books, each with 12 pages and 7-20 unique words per book. The stories use two- and three-letter words with short vowels that can be easily decoded or "sounded out." Think simple sentences like "Sam sat."—short, sweet, and manageable for young readers. The progression is gentle, with new letter sounds added gradually, so kids never feel overwhelmed. By the end, they've encountered almost all the letters of the alphabet (except for the elusive Q).The friendly, two-color illustrations are a perfect match for the text—fun without being distracting. They add just the right amount of humor and charm to keep kids engaged. Plus, the parent card with tips for helping your child learn to read is a thoughtful addition, making it easier for caregivers to support their little learners.Guided Reading Levels A, B, C and Lexile® Measure BR – 290L place this set right where it needs to be for ages 4-6 and PreK to Kindergarten grade levels. Created by a teacher and grounded in the Science of Reading, Bob Books has been a reliable tool for building young readers' confidence, success, and love of reading for more than forty years. Why the 4.9 and not a perfect 5 stars? Well, in the spirit of honesty, I think the simplicity might leave parents wishing for just a touch more story variety. But that's a small nitpick for an otherwise stellar set.In conclusion, "Bob Books Boxed Set 1: Beginning Readers" is an absolute must-have for any parent or teacher looking to give their child a head start in reading. It’s a tried-and-true series that will have your little one beaming with pride as they read their first books. So, get ready to join the millions of happy kids who joyfully proclaim, "I read the whole book!"

Great Starter Set for Young Readers
I got this book set for my 5-year-old who is just starting to learn how to read, and it’s already proving to be a valuable addition. Although we just received them yesterday, she managed to finish one book and absolutely loved it! We were thrilled to see her read it all by herself, which really boosted her confidence. The simple, engaging stories make it perfect for taking those first baby steps in reading. Looking forward to seeing her progress through the rest of the set!

Great!
I bought these for my daughter who is beginning reading. These books are great as they gradually get harder which is motivating to children as they have time to gain in practice and in confidence. I will will definitely order as my daughter progresses
