Q: would this pot be good for tomatoes?

I have bought so many of these pots and with your question I do not get which size it is, but I shall assume it is one of the largest ones. I have grown both cherry & grape tomatoes in this pot or similar ones to this, very successfully. The plants did very well in fact we had more tomatoes than we knew what to do with, hope this helps & best of luck.

14 inches tall and 16 or more inches at the top. Hard to measure as it is full of plants.
