Could be worse, could be better.
It is an ok product. I have had chronic neck pain for the past 5+ years, and pumping this up did help. The only inconveniences are that, when pumped up, it is really close to your ears and hard to wear anything that would go into your ears (if you wanted to use it while sitting and listening to music on headphones, not going to happen. Also, for me, the fit is not the greatest, when pumped up I actually can feel the hard Velcro digging into my jugular area. It has made my neck feel better at times though, so it was not a complete waste and decent for the price. I will be look for another product in the future.

This particular product does a job when you need traction for your neck. I have a traction collar from a different manufacturer that I have been using which I like really well. i thought I keep one at work so that I don't have to take from home back and forth evevyday so I purchased this brand due to price and customer reviews. Unfortunately, this one doesn't compare to a current one I am using. While ithis traction collar performs it should and cost was much less, I prefer a better quality and ease of use of other brand I currently have.

if i can keep getting relief like this from this simple device then i will use ...
I got this a week ago and I can't say enough about how it has eased the pain in my left arm. I am scheduled for a surgeon visit tomorrow and a shot in my neck on Thursday. I will see the surgeon but will tell him I do not want surgery at this time and I am going to postpone the shot in my neck. The first time I used this, i could actually feel the relief while it was on my neck and I figured the pain would resume severely when i took it off but it did not. i wear it about 20 minutes once or twice a day and i have dropped from taking 5 percoset a day to 3 now and i think I will soon be dropping to 2 a day. I know it is probably not a permanent fix for the spinal stenosis and bone spurs but at my age of 71, if i can keep getting relief like this from this simple device then i will use it as long as I can. Also, this unit seems to be well made, is very easy to use and is comfortable. i have it on right now while I am typing this on my laptop. I just got up and got my coffee and sat down, put this on and my arm was hurting pretty bad when I got up but already most of the pain is gone while i have typed this. I used to get up and take a Percoset. I am so glad I tried this!!04/16/2015, Update, This works so well I ordered another one and keep it in the car since that is when I have a lot of pain while driving. it has really helped with that too. So far this collar works faster than Vicodon or Percocet to relieve the pain.

Do not buy
It does what it is described in the add, however the material does not let you breath and your neck gets really hot after some time of wearing it. Also you have to wear also the pump because there is no easy way to get it out, so you will be having something hanging from your neck too while wearing this Device ...

it works for me when I can't get down on ...
it works for me when I can't get down on the ground for my other traction device. But the straps are facing the wrong way and they don't hold well. I try to tighten them, but the Velcro only goes so far down the strap. it tends to come detached and flips up past my face and has strangled me a few times. Lol. I just have to press down the straps while using this or they come undone.

It really does help.
At first I was very skeptical about this, I mean the think looks like a floaty you used as a kid. But my neck was in pain and at this point I was willing to try anything. No instructions came with this so that was not helpful at all for someone who never used one. So I searched on the internet and found some simple instructions, they say no more than 30 mins at a time for use. Also might be painful for people with TMJ so watch out for that if you have it.Pump it up so it is comfortable for you not too tight. When I first started to use this I had a slight pain in my neck where it normally hurts not too bad but over about 20 mins that started to easy up. I used it again later on that night when the neck started up again, it again helped. I have been using it for about 4 days now for up to 30 mins about twice a day. I'm sure you can do more or less whatever you feel comfortable with.I will continue to use this as it really does seem to work.It pumps up easy and when ready just turn the top of the pump to let the air out.

This is a lot more comfortable than the Saunder's mechanical traction device and seems to work just as well. Unlike the mechanical version, this one stores flat and is easily packed for travel. I can even sit upright while using it, instead having to lie down on the floor. My only concern is that the Velcro straps tend to pull loose as pressure increases and fear they may wear out prematurely with continued daily use. Only time will tell, but at $700 less than the Saunders mechanical type, it's a great alternative.

Not impressed
Well I was not really impressed only used it one time and thinking about sending it back to amazon. It was to be self explanatory I assume, since no instructions at all. First try was way too much air and it was hurting the spine its very cumbersome and not comfortable at all. You cannot sit in a chair more like on the edge of a chair to use this, its also very cheap looking...with that said I guess you get what you pay for. May try one of the others that amazon has. There is a plastic valve(blue)thing on this item and with no instructions I have no clue what that was for.
