Bali womens Lace Body Shaper, Lace 'N Smooth Firm-control Shapewear, Built-in Underwire Bra

Same review as other body shaper---I've worn Bali All-in-one body shapers for more than 20 years and they all have the same problems. I have a bad back and initially wore girdle-like lumbo-sacral braces (think Scarlett O'Hara in 'Gone with The Wind') ...The metal ribs left permanent sore spots on my rib cage and my groin. When I moved from the East Coast to AZ, my new doctor wanted me to wear a girdle!!!! Think of the red dot on the weather map covering AZ in the summer.The body suits, especially ones they no longer make, which were designed for firm control, were my solution. The lightweight ones for summer and the heavier fabric for the shorter winter. But no matter what size I ordered as my weight changed, the torso was too long! I've emailed Hanes-Bali-Playtex-Maidenform for years, but nothing has changed. The other thing is the lack of options in a 38B. I had a dressmaker take in the crotch so they fit better.

The body fits well but the cup size was a little too small.

I have loved these for more than 20 years. But, they don't hold up for 20 years. (who and what does?) So, it's great to re-order them and count on them fitting like they always have. And you don't have to completely undress just to go to the bathroom. Very handy when you are in a "dressed up" situation in a public ladies' room. I like to have a smooth silhouette ... and in my advanced years, this makes it happen. Of course it won't make you tiny...but it will smooth you out so you don't have midriff bulge or muffin top. I do wish it had a bit more elastic in the back of my legs, but that's a bit of a "me" problem, not a design flaw.

Well after trying this baby on, I definitely received a lot stares. Although it is very flattering to my figure, I think a big part of the reason why it was deemed as attractive was because it looked like I left the house with lingerie on. It’s very see through. I think it would honestly work better if different skin tone material was set behind the lace as it’s already very thin material. The size was true to my breast size (double d) without managing to be super baggy towards my torso which was a dream come true. It was fitted very nicely. If you are expecting the top part to give you super pushed up cleavage without a bra, you will only be disappointed. I like how it added some support, but rested on my top half leaving a natural look. What I am dying to know is how anyone could wear this thing without a bra and not expect their nipples to show unless if they are super tiny( think Lindsay Lohan) if that’s the case, than god bless you, this body suit is made for you. Seeing that I had to wear a bra for coverage, I ended up being stuck with the issue of my bra showing itself in the back as the back of the body suit is cut really low. Probably my biggest issue with this one. Looks great from the front not so much so in the back with a bra. I had to keep tugging it in and considering that it’s a thin lace one piece, I can see this ripping and stretching the material in a short amount of time. In finality, I feel like with a few minor but important tweaks to the design, it could be five stars.

Just perfect, in every way!

I like that it is lace and therefore doesn't look like "Grandma". The cups are not padded, which I prefer. It is comfortable and does have some tummy control. Nothing major but some. The hooks are on the front flap to the backflap (loop to hook into), which is awesome. I would have liked a bit more "holding in" around the tummy.

It is well constructed , the fabric seems nice (not scratchy) However, I definitely wouldn’t classify this as true “shapewear” . It’s more like a light bra/camisole with attached panties. I didn’t find it sucked me in at all, or smoothed out my figure. There was no difference in my body while wearing this. It simply serves its purpose as underwear/panty combo and for that it’s a really nice garment, especially under sheer tops. I found the bra cups to be way too small in my usual size (34DD) . Hard to explain: but if your bust is higher up and fuller on the top, this bra will cut into the top of your bust, and you need a bigger cup size. If your chest is lower and fuller on the bottom your typical size will probably fit. I noticed that the band size is accurate but the cup size is small ( on me) . It fit fine on the lower half, so the waist /hip is accurate to the size chart. It looks pretty on and is very comfortable. If you have larger hips or thighs this is going to leave a panty line. Overall, a decent undergarment and a great price.

Love It, Love It, Love ItI bought this in white to wear under my Mother of the Bride outfit, it gave a lovely contoured shape that I had wanted and was so supportive and comfortable too wear you would hardly know you were wearing it as it is very soft and very comfortable lacey design with no front seams, bought here at a very good price compared to more expensive other ones that are not such a good and very comfortable fit, would definately reccomend!!
