Color:White No trouble for batteries. It’s an Analog Luggage Scale, no batteries needed indeed. It's designed for Travelers indicating in lbs and kgs to weigh your luggage accurately. The black needle moves and stays in the measured number at the weight for easy reading. Easy to access and portable! Comfortable handheld, Handle slide in-out and hook packed on the back design can be packed into the minimum and portable size when it is not in use.

If accuracy is important, please move along!
Very inaccurate! Showed my bag at 51#, while airline showed it at 40#. I get it, if you're gonna be wrong on the weight this is the way to go, but that's not why I purchased this.Should have known, $8 was really "too good to be true".

If you make sure to pick you luggage up slowly and remember to reset the marker every time this will do fine.
Has a little bounce to it if you pick it up too fast causing the weight marker to show more than it weighs. Also didn't match the airport but I suspect that's due to the airport scale probably not calibrated or intentionally set lower to give a little flub room.If you make sure to pick you luggage up slowly and remember to reset the marker every time this will do fine.

Unable to set the zero
I bought this in order to prevent buying batteries in the future, but when I actually got around to using it, the zero is off by about 3lbs. This would not be an issue if I could reset the zero, but you cannot unless you want to take it apart and put it back together. This should not be a problem with a brand new item. I always hit the exact limit of 50lbs for luggage and would like to verify what items I can move between cases to maintain the weight limit. Would not recommend buying one.

Broke on the first use.
This broke during its first use. It slipped from the luggage strap and went back 10lbs and never went back to 0lbs. So sad because it was so nice.

Difficult to Get an Accurate Weight
Mine arrived 1/2 pound off. That's not so bad, but it's hard to get an accurate weight due to its handle design and the fact that it's spring driven. Oh, and the maximum weight pointer does not stay put and often indicates a 10 or 20 pound less weight after weighing. Because the handle is so small, I can barely get two hands on it, making weighing 50 pound suitcases a problem. And them the springs let the suitcase bounce, further skewing the measurement. It takes strength and a steady hand (and some other tricks) to use this scale. I bought a digital one that weighs much better.

Not as good as a digital but good enough for the
It works accurately IF you lift the bag and gently place it on the hook. If you jerk it around by the handle when you place the bag on the hook it adds weight. Use several times for accuracy. Once I got the hang of it I could use it well. Not as good as a digital but good enough for the price

Best no battery luggage scale around. Used for weighing 20 lb. LP gas grill tanks.
Yes, a luggage scale, but my real purpose is to weigh 20 lb. LP gas grill tanks, to check for a complete fill or to determine if tank is actually empty. Full tank = about 38 lbs., empty tank about 17.5 lbs. Yes, it works great for luggage too!

Off by two pounds
The dial on the scale I received is off by two pounds; as in it is permanently aligned two pounds back from the zero, so I have to take that into consideration when weighing my luggage. Aside from that, it’s a handy, easy to use tool.
