Kurgo 6-in-1 Quantum Dog Leash, Hands Free Dog Lead, Adjustable Waist Belt, Grass Green

I purchased this item after contacting a helpline for a health problem that I myself am experiencing that means using my hands to hold a normal lead is painful and potentially dangerous because my grip is weak. They had some suggestions which led me to make this purchase. Most "hands free" dog leads that I've come across are designed for cani-cross running with the dog out in front and whilst I believe that this is one of the formations that this 6-in-1 lead can be used for, we needed one for my puppy to learn the correct position for controlled lead walking (i.e. by my side or very slightly behind, definitely not pulling me along in front!) So in the across the body / shoulder formation of handler usage it is really perfect for us. The clip allows it to be adjusted to an appropriate length for both me and for her (as multiple loops on the tape mean that it can be hooked over in more than one place). I get a similar amount of control to a regular lead in terms of handling the dog but with a lot more confidence that I won't accidentally drop the lead. It is very convenient to have the use of both my hands whilst walking my puppy on the lead as for example getting the poo bags out is much easier without trying to keep hold of a normal lead, so even once my hands are better I think I will keep using this product. I thought it was expensive as it's much more than other leads I have bought but it has been totally worth it for us and I would recommend it to anyone else with similar needs.

Returned this and kept the max&molly one. Maybe ok for bigger dogs but found this just to bulky and heavy, the handle end is uncomfortable to hold and did not feel secure, sorry.

I find the padded handle option less useful, but overall the lead is strong and doesn’t give when my fairly large dog pulls.

Brilliant! I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and have found it tricky to take my dog for walks alone.Someone mentioned a dog lead that can be placed around your body. I found this and absolutely love it.I use it around my torso and across my shoulder. She’s a small dog but has a hefty pull, but the lead itself of very sturdy and solid.Would 100% recommend! Thank you to the company for producing such a thoughtful product.

Seriously, I've been walking dogs for 50 odd years and have used loads of leads. This one is the best of them all.I love having hands free walks but my dog is a steady 9 year old lab so someone with a bouncy pup may have a different experience.The carabiner arrangement works very well and the reflective strips are amazing. Tempted to buy another in case they stop making them. That's how good it is.

Do not buy! Initially seemed great and very strong but 5 months later clip has already broken - any dog bigger than chiwawa will break this cheap metal. Very disappointed, plus had to chase dog (young lab that is still learning recall).

This is a lovely lead but not suitable for small dogs.
