Read this if CUSTOMER SERVICE is important to you!
At the root of just about every electronic purchase on line is the question of "if I have a problem, I wonder how well customer sevice will address my issue." Let me tell you this: I have now been absolutely blown away by the Goodsman customer service team. My first phone call to them made me feel like I was their most important customer and their goal was my satisfaction with their products.I purchased 2 120 watt power packs to address my landscaping lighting needs. I promptly received them and hooked up my lights. Instalation was a snap, directions and programming as easy. Great product! But, not long afterwards the photo sensor / timer stopped working on one unit. A quick call to Amazon and a replacement unit was here the next day. Not bad, no fuss, no issues and as I hoped it would be from Amazon customer service.Well, 8 months later the replacement Goodsman sent me stopped working. I dreaded calling their customer service number figuring I would have an issue getting satisfaction from them since this was a second replacement request.I was amazed at how well my call was received! Goodsman did the purchase verification and called me back the THE NEXT DAY! He arranged for return shipping and explained they would do diagnostics on the unit and let me know. Fair enough and understandable. In the same conversation I informed the Goodsman Customer rep of a slight issue on the other unit's door hinge. The first words out of the rep were "that's not what we want for our customers, send it back to us as well." What? Are you kidding? Not what I was asking Goodsman to do... but, ok! The rep told me it would be a few days once they received the units to evaluate and he would give me a call. Ok, I admit I was feeling pretty good at this point about how Goodsman's rep was treating me; but call me back in a few days? Come on who does that anymore? Real customer service is hard to find. You could have blown me over with a feather when Goodsman's rep called me this morning! I return mailed the units on a Tuesday and received Goodsman's call on the following Wednesday with a holiday Monday in between. Stunning customer service!I was informed BOTH units would replaced and would be in the mail today! The Goodsman rep made it very clear my satisfaction was his goal and part of their company culture. For me customer service is a big piece in my decision making process when I read reviews. Goodsman nailed it! I Highly recommend them because they stand behind their product and know how to deliver excellent customer service. The only thing I can say now is I wish I had bought my landscaping lights from them as well!

"SENSOR" did NOT work well for turning ON/OFF when in "Auto" Mode on the first unit.
This unit is GREAT having many options for operating landscape lighting, I finally had to replace a Malibu "Manual Timer" having a "turning wheel clock" with pieces to locate for ON and OFF times around the perimeter of the "wheel". That unit operated perfectly for over twenty years, but I had to manually MOVE the ON/OFF pieces multiple times during the year with many more hours of daylight during summer months. The BEST "feature" of this new unit in my opinion is having a SENSOR with the unit set to "AUTO" Mode so your lights will turn ON at dusk and OFF at dawn "automatically", so no more having to reset times for the summer months!!! I mounted the SENSOR on a block wall both facing UP, and facing OUT towards the west. At "sunset" with the original SENSOR (facing UP) turned the lights ON at dusk, but they STAYED ON even at 10:00 AM the next morning on a sunny day in Arizona! The company immediately sent me a replacement SENSOR and it also had problems turning the lights both ON and OFF when set to "AUTO" Mode and mounting the replacement SENSOR in two different directions. I then gave up on the "AUTO" mode with the SENSOR and resorted back to setting the clock for both ON and OFF times no longer using the "AUTO" mode. This is a GREAT unit, but their "SENSOR" and "AUTO" Mode still needs work!!! Having difficulty with their SENSOR in the ARIZONA SUN does not bode well, let alone those who reside in less sunny states!!! Also, their "Instructions" have a "template" for drilling the mounting holes, and the "template" is NOT the same distance for the mounting holes on the actual unit! SO, MEASURE THE MOUNTING HOLES ON THE UNIT BEFORE DRILLING - DO NOT USE THE "TEMPLATE" FOR DRILLING THE MOUNTING HOLES!!!UPDATE ON 3/23/19:After promptly receiving a "Sensor" replacement from Goodman that did not solve the "AUTO" Mode problem, Goodman IMMEDIATELY sent me an entire replacement Transformer unit after they had tested it out themselves prior to shipping it out. My problem has been resolved and I must commend Goodman for their incredible attention to my issue. Goodman IMMEDIATELY responded to my review comments above without me having to contact them, they beat me to it! It is pretty rare to receive that kind of IMMEDIATE attention from a seller to their customers! I am very please with this product after having a rocky start, I would highly recommend this Lighting Transformer.

Dead after 14 months
I purchased the 120W model to run a string of well lights along the front facade of my historic home, unit is mounted in my basement next to my electrical panel with the photo eye mounted in a window...this was the easiest way as my foundation is 24+" of stone, so I was able to run the low voltage cable out of the house through the same port that the electrical service comes in.It's an old house, so there is some dampness, but the humidity is kept around 55% by dehumidifiers, and the unit has never gotten wet or been out in the weather, and the low voltage line is approximately 150ft long with a total of 24w of LED well lights, so it's far under capacity.Ordered December 2020, Installed during a warm spell in March 2021. This evening I went out to walk the dog and the lights aren't on. Went down in the basement to check and it's completely dead - no timer clock and no lights on the control dial. Not very impressed with a 14 month lifespan on an $80 transformer running at 20% capacity...
