stands were lighter and thinner than those in pre bought cake stands but did the job....however the nut that fits the base plate was a little thicker than the plates we had drilled for purpose so had to stick thin foam on the underside of the plate to stop the stand wobbling... for the price though not too bad once sorted...only wanted them for a one off party.If planning to use the stands on a frequent basis I would recommend buying stands that have been purpose made...I bought 2 of the 2 tier stands from Lidl as they were on offer the week after ...at £4.99 they were more robust
