EDITED TO ADD: I've been in touch with Drew, the owner of Summit Legacy Products. He has been extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I told him about what happened to our lid, and he sent TWO replacement lids totally free. I'm changing the number of stars from 2 to 5 based on the awesome customer service alone. If my girl was a little older and not so prone to chew on everything, this bottle would be absolutely perfect. Unfortunately I don't think there's a perfect solution to the chewing problem. It's either going to be a softer material that will break down (like silicone) or a harder material that will be rough on her teeth (like hard plastic).-------------------------------------We have had this bottle for a little over a month, and my 2.5 year old has used it almost daily. The silicone tip on the straw seems to have melted (?) after the cup was left in the van. It's not straight anymore but bowed towards the middle. Or it could just be from my daughter chewing on it.Lots of teeth marks, and today I've noticed the silicone is finally splintering with chunks coming up. It also seems to be pulling up around the seam on the lid directly under the straw.I've contacted the company, we'll see what they say. There's no way to buy a separate straw lid right now, and honestly idk that I'd want another if it's just going to do this again. We'll plan on keeping this with the screw top lid for when she's older, and may have to go to a Kleen Kanteen with hard plastic sippy lid in the meantime.

I purchased this water bottle for my three year old, and so far it has been a hit with him. The flip spout is easy for him to use and does not leak when in the closed position. I like how easy the bottle and caps are to clean. I also really like how this bottle will grow with my son with the two different kid styles. There was a defect with one of the lids, but Drew, owner of the company, sent a replacement out immediately. I can honestly say this was the best customer service I have ever had from any company--- promote response to my email, friendly interactions and extremely fast replacement time. I highly recommend this bottle, and plan on purchasing some for our daughter as well.Update: one bottle seems to have a small rust spot inside it. I contacted Drew and he shipped out a new bottle immediately! We have also purchased 2 bottles for our daughter because we love the product and customer service so much!

I can’t say enough about this water bottle! I ordered 2 of them for my twin 3 year olds to use at a nature preschool. They are easy for them to use, they are easy for me to clean, and best of all- they don’t leak!!! That’s huge. I was on the hunt for a leak free option for kids beverages and was beginning to think it didn’t exist (even all of the sippy cups sold as “leak proof/spill proof”). It keeps their drinks cold all day, even when outside.Additionally, I ran into issues over time of my kids chewing on the rubber coated mouthpiece part so I contacted the company about purchasing extra lids. I heard back within hours and was sent 2 new lids for free- different lids without the rubber coating on the mouthpiece that will take care of my issue. Great customer service and great product- couldn’t ask for anything better!

Well I wanted to give this bottle a shot since the reviews were mixed. I needed a container to keep my five year olds milk cold for school and not leak. I received the bottle and thought how nice it was. Even the color was nice. It leaks a little bit nothing crazy to cause an issue. I put it in a ziplock bag just in case and only a few drops were in the bag. He used it three times and I have to side with all the reviews stating don’t waste your money if it is for a kid. The rubber on the straw ripped by the third use and is actually a choking hazard. My son sits with an aid for snack (that’s the only time he drinks his milk) and he still chewed it up in minutes. It’s too soft for a toddler to use and is a waste of money if that’s who you’re buying for. Luckily it came with a solid top I can use it to travel with and pour what we need into another cup however that isn’t what I needed it for. Compared to his thermos brand container that would keep ice frozen all day this one doesn’t. The ice melts and his drink isn’t very cold. Not worth the money at all!

**update 5/13/19 - the company reached out to me and provided a new and improved lid. I just got it today and it seems like it was be much better. It’s hard plastic rather than the rubber. They also provided two new straws. Awesome service and I am confident in their commitment to a good product. While I was waiting for the lid I had bought a similar cup at Dicks Sporting Goods and I must say my eyes were really opened to how good this cup is compared to others. The fact it hardly ever leaks is a miracle compared to similar products at local stores that seem to pour out way quicker. The only thing I wish is that we could buy replacement pieces when needed. Either way, I will be buying more of these cups. I just hope they all come with the hard spout moving forward. Keep up the great work, Summit Kids, I can’t wait to buy more!**Update 5/5/19 - this cup was great for the first month, but really don’t recommend it for anyone with kids that chew on stuff. He never really seemed to chew on his straws, but he must be chewing the straw on this cup because the rubber part is falling apart! Basically rendering it unusable after only a month and a half. Kind of disappointed about that. Really not worth 20 bucks for a month of use...—————————————Our son has been using this cup for the past week and has really enjoyed it. The grip on the bottom is really nice and the lids are as well. He only uses the sippy lid at this time, but I am sure he will use the other one in the future. This cup is really great quality.
